Active Minds

Active Minds is a mental health organization that was founded by Alison Malmon following the suicide of her older brother and only sibling, Brian. The SHSU Active Minds is a student-led Chapter that aims to carry out the Active Minds mission: raise awareness and promote positive conversations about mental health. SHSU Active Minds encourages students know it is ok to ask for help.

As of now, there are Active Minds chapters on more than 600 campuses that directly reach 1.9 million students each year through campus awareness campaigns, events, advocacy, and outreach. Visit the Active Minds Website!
