  • REQUIREMENTS
    • Must have applied for admission to Sam Houston State University
    • SAM ID number required before testing
  • TEST DATES
    • July 10, 2018
  • TIME
    • 9:00 a.m. on specified test dates listed above
    • Examinees need to report to the testing site 15-30 minutes prior their scheduled testing time
    • No one will be allowed into the testing room after the test session has begun
    • Exam ends approximately at 1:00 p.m.
  • REGISTRATION/ADMINISTRATION/TEST FEE
    • $60.00 (non-refundable, non-transferable)
    • Examinees may register for a scheduled test date via our website at www.shsu.edu/centers/testing-center
    • Seating is limited and registrations are done on a first-come, first-served basis
    • Rescheduling will require a payment of another registration/administration/test fee
  • ITEMS NEEDED
    • Current, unexpired picture identification (i.e., driver’s license, state-issued ID, passport, student ID, high school identification letter with picture attached/counselor’s signature, notarized statement with photo)
    • Second form of identification (i.e., any of the previously listed photo IDs, social security card, birth certificate, etc.)
    • Calculators are optional and may be used during the math portion of the test only
    • SAM ID number
  • SCORES
    • Results are forwarded to the SHSU Undergraduate Admissions Office only. There are no hard-copy score reports for this test
    • To obtain oral test results, a student may come to the Testing Center after 2 p.m. on the day of the exam and present an acceptable picture ID (without proper picture identification, the scores will not be released to the student)
    • Examinees can also contact their Admission’s counselor for information regarding their ACT-Residual score
    • The scores from an ACT Residual test taken at SHSU are to be used only for trying to meet admission requirements for SHSU
  • RETAKES
    • Must wait 60 days before retesting
    • Students who retest before the 60 day time restriction (here or at another location) will have their scores cancelled and their exam fee will not be refunded
    • Examinees are responsible for knowing and adhering to this retest policy
    • Registration/administration/test fee applies
