Polkas

La Tassa mobilare Polka Salon, Op. 180, PP.145.1

As no recorded concert performances can be found, one may assume this work was a modest success in the many dance jobs the band performed, especially around Mardi gras (Carnevale). The flicorno basso part might indicate a later composition date than the Lisa Polka. This can only be considered a Cremona work as it has the "student" E-flat cornet part and the full cornet/flugelhorn section.

"Tassa" means "tax." "Mobiliare" has two meanings: 1. referring to furniture and 2. referring to moving about. I invite the viewer to decide.
