Strategic Planning A.S.P.I.R.E. Program R.O.A.D. to PhD

Dr. Bluth is the Director of Graduate Student Success in The Graduate School at SHSU. She is a National Certified Counselor and teaches graduate courses in both the College of Criminal Justice and College of Education. She provides direction in strategic program enrollment management, academic success, and student success initiatives. Her commitment to service extends to several committees at SHSU as well as service to the community at large as she currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Montgomery County Women's Center. 


Jamey Rootes

Former Houston Texans President Former Columbus Crew General Manager 

Jamey Rootes served as the President of the Houston Texans. He was instrumental in bringing one of the largest soccer tournaments, Copa America, to Houston as well as bringing Monday Night Football to Mexico for the first time in NFL history. Prior to joining the Houston Texans, Rootes was integral to the launch of Major League Soccer and was the inaugural president and general manager of Major League Soccer's Columbus Crew. Rootes was also the founder and president of the Lone Star Sports and Entertainment (LSSE), a sport management, third-party event marketing company. In 2020, Rootes became a bestselling author and achieved No. 1 International Bestseller status with his book, The Winning Game Plan: A Proven Leadership Playbook for Continuous Business Success.


David Brady

David Brady has over 20 years of career in the Sport Marketing and Broadcasting business.  He currently is also the stadium voice (P.A. Announcer) of the Houston Texans and serves as play-by-play announcer for Rice University Baseball.  He also has hosted the Wayne Graham (Rice Baseball) Radio Show on 1560 AM KGOW. His most recent full-time position in sports was with the Houston Texans as Director of Lone Star Sports and Entertainment, where he was responsible for securing and managing major events at Reliant Stadium. These included college football games, concerts, soccer matches, and other entertainment events. David oversaw several major events during this time at Reliant Stadium including the U.S. vs. Mexico soccer match, which generated the highest revenue of any soccer match in history.

Foster has more than 16 years of progressive hospital administration experience in Oklahoma, Texas and internationally in Costa Rica and Mexico. His vast experience ranges from small for-profit hospitals to large, U.S. News and World Report Ranked #1 Academic Medical Centers.
