SHSU Community,

Just like everything else this year, the holidays are sure to look a little different. If you are wondering what to do for Halloween and upcoming traditional family celebrations, the Centers for Disease Control recently issued its first guidance for celebrating holidays during the coronavirus pandemic.

Want to still gather together with a close group of family or friends? Go outside and have a picnic. Studies have proven that being outdoors is not only good for your physical health, but for your mental health as well. So, grab some blankets and don’t forget the hand sanitizer and read tips on the best way to picnic in the age of Coronavirus.

COVID Conversations

In the latest segment of COVID Conversations, Drew Miller answers your questions submitted to COVID19@shsu.edu. The goal of this platform is to provide clarity on how our campus community is navigating the pandemic. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to submit their pandemic-related questions to COVID19@SHSU.edu.

In case you missed it, SHSU’s team of experts, Dr. Candace Walkley, assistant professor, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and her colleagues at the College of Osteopathic Medicine, have developed informative COVID presentations and resources specifically targeting the information needs of SHSU faculty.
