The Department of Recreational Sports offers American Red Cross Safety Training Courses for SHSU students, faculty, and staff as well as the general public. These trainings provide the skills necessary to create a safe school, work, and home environment. Lifeguarding and Lifeguard Instructor Courses are open to the public.
