Susie Stone
Bio
Susie Stone has been at Sam Houston State University since 1999. During these years she has taught a variety of health courses preparing students for a career in related health fields. She currently teaches courses related to Population and Community health. In addition, she teaches the Population Health Pre-Internship Class where students are prepared for their upcoming professional Internship.
She currently serves on the Academic Community Engagement Committee as the College of Health Science ACE Coordinator. She also has served for 10 years on the Gulf Coast Be The Match Campus Recruitment Committee serving as a mentor to help student groups and individuals to discuss the benefits of serving as a blood marrow donor. She conducts periodic training sessions for SHSU students in conjunction with the Montgomery County Women’s Center for sexual assault and domestic violence. In addition, she served several years as the Faculty Advisor for Eta Sigma Gamma Health Honorary.
