Contacting Your Student
Each student who is accepted to Sam Houston State University is assigned a University email address. In efforts to protect students privacy, student e-mail addresses are only accessible through an online e-mail directory to campus authenticated users.
US Postal Service
Sam Houston State University has a US Postal Service Post Office on campus. The campus zip code is 77341. All students living in residence halls on the SHSU campus (excluding Sam Houston Village, Raven Village and Bearkat Village) are automatically assigned a Post Office Box number when they receive their hall assignment. Students may receive packages through the USPS by presenting the package notification slip and a valid identification card at the Post Office counter.

Students living at Sam Houston Village, Raven Village and Bearkat Village will not use the on campus post office. Mail will be delivered directly to them at their respective halls. Any packages received will have to be picked up at the downtown post office at 1315 10th Street.
