SHSU Recognized by Money’s Best Colleges in America for 2025

Sam Houston State University has been named one of the 2025 Best Colleges in America by Money, earning 3.5 out of 5 stars in the 2025 rankings.

Compiled by the personal finance outlet, the Money Best Colleges list evaluates institutions based on three core criteria: quality of education, affordability and student outcomes. These factors are assessed through data points such as graduation rates, student-faculty ratios, cost of attendance, average financial aid and alumni earnings.

Out of more than 2,400 four-year colleges and universities across the nation, only 732 schools met Money’s rigorous qualifications for inclusion. Sam Houston State’s strong performance across multiple measures demonstrates its ongoing commitment to providing accessible, high-quality education that leads to successful outcomes for students.

This recognition highlights SHSU’s continued efforts to support student success, both during their academic journey and after graduation.
