Cherokee Chicken Crossing
The finalized bridge plans (above) include antique iron railings that will ensure that SHSU's fowl friends are able to safely cross the road, while paying homage to Gen. Houston's legacy. It will also include a marble walkway, with state-of-the-art foot sensors that will recognize each chicken as it begins its path onto the bridge. The bridge will have a gate, activated by the foot sensors, that will allow them access to the bridge.
