Designed for students seeking a graduate degree in library science without a school librarian certification, this pathway develops expertise in information science, literacy, technology, research, instruction, and leadership. - MLS & SCHOOL LIBRARIAN CERTIFICATION
Designed for educators seeking both a graduate degree and school librarian certification, this pathway combines the Master of Library Science (MLS) with coursework and professional preparation aligned with Texas school librarian certification requirements. Students develop expertise in literacy, information science, technology, instruction, leadership, and school library practice while preparing for their next professional role. - CERTIFICATE WITH CERTIFICATION
This pathway provides students a School Librarian Certificate from SHSU who already hold a master's degree. Eligible Texas educators may use this pathway to pursue Texas School Librarian Certification, while out-of-state students may earn the certificate for professional advancement.
