Principal, TEA Certification

Available: On Campus and Online

The 24-hour certification program is designed specifically for the current educator who possesses a Master of Education (M.Ed.) and wishes to obtain Principal Certification. The program complies with existing standards for professional certification. An Interactive Practice Exam (IPE) is required during the final semester of coursework. All courses are available online except for a one-time training at The Woodlands Center.

The Principal Certification program is also offered in combination with the MEd in School Leadership.

Application Deadlines

Applications received early (June 15 for Fall, October 15 for Spring, and March 15 for Summer) will be given preference. All applications are due by the dates below.

  • Fall: July 15
  • Spring: November 15
  • Summer: April 15
