Families- Educators
When planning an adolescent's transition from high school to post-school environments and activities, parent involvement is vital to ensure that the student's postsecondary goals and transition services are in alignment with the student's desires and the family's culture. Indeed, parents play one of the most important roles in their children's transition to adulthood. They know their child best and are the constant in their children's lives.
In This Section: In this section, you will find tools to use with parents to enhance transition planning by involving parents in the process. The tools include both elementary and secondary level tools. While some tools are transition assessments, others are tools parents can use to plan for the IEP Meeting with their child. |
