Director of Leadership Initiatives
Meredith Conrey, Director of Leadership Initiatives, is originally from Houston, Texas. She received both her bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication in 2004 and her master’s degree in Educational Administration with a focus in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education in 2006 from Texas A&M University. Prior to working at SHSU, Meredith worked at Baylor University in Campus Living & Learning. In her free time, Meredith enjoys watching basketball and football, reading, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
Associate Director of Leadership Initiatives
Brian Weaver, Associate Director of Leadership Initiatives, is originally from Logansport, Indiana. He received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Valparaiso University in 2009 and a master’s degree in Sport Management from Western Illinois University in 2011. Prior to joining Leadership Initiatives, Brian worked in recreational sports at SHSU, Cornell University, and the University of Connecticut. In his free time, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife Lucy, officiating basketball, going to the movies, and watching just about any sport.
Emily Snider, Program Specialist for Leadership Initiatives, is initially from George West, Texas. She received a bachelor’s degree in Human Geography and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Sam Houston State University. Emily began her career shortly after graduating with her bachelor’s degree in 2016 by joining the Department of Leadership Initiatives. While not working, Emily enjoys attending concerts with friends and driving to new places in her car, Frodo the Fusion.
Program Specialist and Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach
Brittni MacLeod, Program Specialist for Leadership Initiatives, is originally from Mineral Wells, Texas. She received both her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Texas Tech University and is currently writing her dissertation for a Ph.D. in Higher Education Research. Before joining Leadership Initiatives, Brittni worked at the Academic Success Center at SHSU and in advising at Texas Tech University. In her free time, Brittni enjoys Harry Potter marathons, weekend trips to Austin, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
