On November 10th at 1:00pm in the Walker Education Center, Bearkats will have another opportunity to continue the conversation about mitigating and overcoming burnout as individuals and as a community. Dr. Stacey Edmonson, Dean of the College of Education and Dr. Devon Berry, Director for the School of Nursing will join Interim Associate Vice Provost for Faculty Success Dr. Aneika Simmons in addressing this important topic. This three-hour event will be an interactive workshop where attendees will participate in activities that are designed to help build and strengthen techniques and strategies for effective burnout resistance.

Join your colleagues as we tackle these important burnout-related topics:

  • interpersonal dynamics
  • team leadership and membership
  • challenges as professors, instructors, and staff
  • mental and physical well-being

The workshop will also include a policy related burnout prevention update by our Vice Provost Anne Gaillard.



This workshop is presented by Academic Affairs and hosted by The Learning Academies @ SHSU. Please note, all faculty and staff are eligible to attend this event, but seats are limited. Registration ends November 3, 2022. Thank you.
