Bearkats, as we approach Spring Break, we urge you to continue following all precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We understand that for many of us, pandemic fatigue has set in, but by taking the necessary steps to stay safe, we can get through this together.

Here are a few tips on how to stay safe during Spring Break:

  • Minimize travel and opt for a staycation instead!
  • If you do travel, it is recommended to get tested before and after your trip. The Student Health Center has several locations available for you to get tested including the Health Hut located right in front of Academic Building IV and in the Lowman Student Center. All you need to do is register your health insurance in the student portal or register your government ID.
  • If you are able, get your COVID-19 vaccination. To determine your eligibility, visit the Texas Department of State Health Services website.
  • Check your health status every day with CampusClear, a daily, 10-second assessment tool that helps you monitor your overall health. Access the free CampusClearapp in the App Store or Google Play.
  • Carry hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes to keep hands and surfaces clean.
  • Continue to wear your mask, practice physical distancing, and wash your hands often.

Happy Spring Break!
