Michael is a Junior Communications Studies major with a Psychology minor. He was enrolled in a COMS 2385 ACE course, Community Applied Communications. The community engagement experience was working closely with the Cheer Live organization putting together a marketing event. The photo shows fellow classmates working their booth table at Cheer Live and putting their communication techniques to the test. The class members met with customers at the Cheer Live event as salesmen after going through preparation, research, and eventually direct communication at the event. Michael personally learned the importance of preparation and how that makes an impact on the outcome. The project benefited Cheer Live with an increase in sales and Michael gained valuable lessons and work experience in a company.
