April 24, 2015
15-7214, 12:06 AM, Violation of Student Code of Conduct: Residence Life personnel investigating a loud noise complaint at Sam Houston Village (1600 Sam Houston Avenue) discovered that the occupants of the involved room were in possession of alcoholic beverages in violation of university and residence life policy. They subsequently contacted SHSU PD and a report was completed.

April 23, 2015
15-7143, 10:41 AM, Medical Assist: An officer responded to the Sam Houston Memorial Museum gift shop (1836 Sam Houston Avenue) to assist with a medical call.  The complainant reported that an individual fell while ascending a set of steps.

15-7144, 10:37 AM, Damage to University Property: On March 21, 2015, the back window to a university owned truck was damaged when it was incidentally struck by the handle of a diesel fuel pump attached to a tank in the bed of the truck. 1

15-7153, 12:43 PM, Assault (Family Violence): Two subjects (a resident student and her non-resident, non-student boyfriend) were involved in an altercation in the student’s dorm room during which one of the two caused minor injury to the other. An investigation and offense report were completed.

15-7165, 3:40 PM, Assist Other Agency (Huntsville Police Department): Multiple SHSU PD officers responded to assist Huntsville Police Department officers with the investigation of an armed robbery call at the Villas on Sycamore Apartments, located at 1615 Sycamore Avenue. Responding officers were able to assist in locating and taking into custody one of the two suspects who had fled into a nearby church.

April 22, 2015
15-7028, 5:19 AM, Traffic Arrest: A driver who was stopped for a traffic violation (6000 block Highway 75 South) was found to have multiple violations, including a suspended driver’s license and no insurance. The driver was arrested and a report was filed.

15-7033, 7:44 AM, Theft: A student reported that an unknown suspect, without consent, took his wallet (and contents) and a sports drink that he had hidden in some bushes near the Criminal Justice Center. On April 23, 2015, the wallet and sports drink were located and all contents were accounted for.

15-7056, 1:01 PM, Follow-Up Investigation: SHSU PD officers met with a possible suspect in a previously reported crash and determined through investigation that the student would no longer be considered a suspect in the original Duty Upon Striking report (15-6860).

15-7061, 3:01 PM, Medical Assist: An officer responded to Raven Village (2133 Avenue I) to assist with a medical related call.

15-7069, 3:31 PM, Violation of Student Code of Conduct: Two student residents in the Jackson-Shaver Hall were found to be in possession of contraband items. The items were confiscated and a report was filed that will be forwarded to the Residence Life Department.


April 21, 2015
15-6970, 2:34 PM, Theft: A student reported that an unknown suspect took his Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablet computer, valued at $1,100.00, from a lab desk in the Lee Drain Building (1900 Avenue I) on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. He stated his delay in reporting the offense was due to his belief that it would eventually be turned in to lost and found.

15-6999, 10:19 PM, Medical Assist: A student sustained injury to both lower legs while attempting to jump across the water fountain in the central campus area. The subject was transported to the Huntsville Memorial Hospital Emergency Room for treatment by Huntsville/Walker County EMS.

15-7001, 10:39 PM, Assist Other Agency (Huntsville PD): A SHSU PD officer assisted Huntsville PD officers immediately after a brief foot pursuit which originated at the Cornerstone Apartments.


April 20, 2015
15-6860, 8:29 AM, Duty Upon Striking: An officer was dispatched to the University Police Department, located at 2424 Sam Houston Avenue, in reference to a “Duty Upon Striking” report. A student reported her vehicle was damaged while between 7:00 a.m. and 7:35 a.m., while parked in the P15 parking lot (located at 500 Bowers Boulevard). When asked, the subject stated a white Chevrolet pick-up parked next to her was possibly the suspect vehicle.

15-6878, 12:00 PM, Graffiti: Officer was dispatched to the Lee Drain Building, located at 1900 Avenue I, in reference to a “Graffiti” report. A subject reported several areas of graffiti in the southeast and southwest stairwells. A report was filed.

15-6917, 10:28 PM, Damage to University Property: An officer observed a damaged bollard on the northwest side of the CHSS Building, located at 1901 Avenue I. The damages consisted of two large dents with several scrapes, pink transfer paint from an unknown vehicle and the bollard leaning from the impact.

15-6926, 11:24 PM, Criminal Mischief: An officer observed a vandalized parking directional sign at the Sam Houston Parking Garage, located at 1730 Avenue I. An unknown suspect engraved the letters “MAR” and several lines in the middle of the sign.


April 19, 2015
15-6848, AOA Warrant Service, 10:23 PM: An individual was arrested on Huntsville Municipal Court warrants during a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Sycamore Avenue.

15-6851, AOA Warrant Service, 11:41 PM: An individual was arrested on Huntsville Municipal Court warrants during a traffic stop near the intersection of Bowers Boulevard and Bobby K. Marks Drive.


April 18, 2015
15-6755, 1:12 AM, Assist Outside Agency/Warrant Service: An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 block of 11th Street. A computerized inquiry into the driver’s Texas driver’s license revealed active warrants issued by the Huntsville Municipal Court. Subsequently, the individual was taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail and booked on the warrants. 

15-6778, 11:27 AM, Duty Upon Striking: A vehicle was damaged while parked in the Coliseum Lot (1900 block Bobby K. Marks)
between the hours of 9 AM and 11AM.

15-6817, 10:28 PM, Assault: A complainant reported that he was assaulted while performing his duties as usher during at a performance within the University Theatre Center. An offense report was completed.

April 17, 2015
15-6685, Criminal Trespass Warning Issued, 4:11 AM: An officer was dispatched to assist a female student with retrieving her phone from a male acquaintance of hers, who was also not a Sam Houston State University student. Upon the officer’s arrival, the victim became non-cooperative and did not wish to file a report for theft. Shortly after both parties were separated, the victim located the suspect in the Bearkat Village complex (2400 block Montgomery Road) visiting a friend. Officers were dispatched to the location to assist with both individuals who had become argumentative towards each other. A criminal trespass warning was issued to the male subject since he was not a student and to prevent any further conflicts. The female was informed to go back to her residence by the officer. While en-route to her residence, she located her phone in the grass.

15-6744, 9:07 PM, Criminal Trespass Warning Issued: An officer was dispatched to Creager House, located at 1327 17th Street, in reference to Residence Life Department needing a “Criminal Trespass Warning” issued to a non-resident on scene allegedly living in the dorm after being removed from on campus housing. Upon arrival, the officer located the student in question, issued him a “Criminal Trespass Warning” for all Residence Life dorms and was escorted out of the dorm. A report was filed.

April 16, 2015
15-6650, Damage to University Property, 4:30 PM: Officers responded to assist the Huntsville Police Department with a downed power line at the intersection of Sam Houston Avenue and 17th Street. The damage was result of a single vehicle accident involving a large semi-truck and trailer. A Sam Houston State University directional sign was also damaged in front of Jackson Shaver Hall.

15-6665, Welfare Concern, 6:15 PM: Officers were dispatched to Sam Houston Village (1600 Sam Houston Avenue) in reference to a student that had lacerations to their wrists and attempted to jump off a balcony of the building. The student was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. The university crisis team was contacted and arrived on scene to provide assistance.

15-6667, Damage to University Property, 7:05 PM: Officers were dispatched to multiple locations throughout campus for water damage due to a heavy rain event. University Physical Plant staff were contacted to fix the damages sustained.


April 15, 2015
15-6577, 6:01 PM, Violation of Protective Order (Woodlands Campus): A student at The Woodlands Campus (3380 College Park) alerted an on-duty officer of a situation between her and a student from Lone Star College. The investigation revealed that the other student was in violation of a protective order obtained by the complainant. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

15-6489, 9:31 AM, Criminal Mischief: An unknown suspect caused damaged to the landscaping on the east side of the Sam Houston Memorial Museum (1836 Sam Houston Avenue) by driving through the grass and making trenches in the sod.

April 13, 2015
15-6398, 8:31 AM, Violation of Student Code of Conduct: An officer was dispatched to the Baseball Complex, located at 530 Bowers Boulevard, in reference to a “Violation of Student Code of Conduct” report. The head baseball coach stated he released a player from the team on April 9th due to a violation of team rules that was committed during a recent away game. Due to the player and his father becoming very upset about the issue the coach wanted the incident documented.
 
15-6406, 12:16 PM, Theft: An officer was dispatched to the University Police Department, located at 2424 Sam Houston Avenue, in reference to a “Theft” report. A student reported that his wallet was taken from his bag without his permission at one of the intramural fields on April 7th between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. (1700 block of Bobby K. Marks). When asked, the complainant expressed he did not wish to file a formal criminal complaint and signed a “Non-Prosecution” form.

15-6352, Warrant Service, 9:47 AM: A subject was arrested on Municipal Court warrants in the 3000 block of Sam Houston Avenue.

15-6368, Harassment, 10:12 PM: A female reported that she is being harassed, via telephone, by her ex-boyfriend. The actor is not a student and lives in Dallas; however, he called today from a university extension at the Communications Building. It’s not known if the call was forwarded somehow, going through the respective extension. The complainant was advised to contact 911 if she saw her ex-boyfriend on campus or at her residence in order for a criminal trespass warning to be issued.


April 11, 2015
15-6298, 1:07 PM, Violation Code of Student Conduct:  An officer met with a female university student at the University Police Department in reference to the student seeking information for an incident that occurred at an off campus event.  The female reported that that she was approached by a male who fondled her breast.  Information was obtained and a report will be sent to the Dean of Students.’ Office for investigation since the victim did not wish to seek criminal prosecution at this time.

April 10, 2015
15-6195, 12:56 AM, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: The driver (a student) of a vehicle which had been stopped for a traffic violation was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver was cited and released, the paraphernalia was seized, and a report was filed.

15-6199, 2:11 AM, Found Property: An officer on routine patrol spotted a small purse lying in the roadway of Bowers Boulevard at the intersection with Montgomery Road. Inspection revealed that the purse contained a SHSU ID and two credit cards. The owner was identified and contacted and the property returned.

15-6271, 10:12 PM, Damaged Vehicle (Fleet): An officer accidentally caused minor damage to a SHSU patrol vehicle by backing it into a gate/fence.

April 9, 2015
15-6113, 9:37 AM, Harassment: A student reported that he received a note at his off-campus residence as well as observed some recent social media postings that he perceived as harassing communication. A report was filed.

15-6125, 12:04 PM, Medical Assist: An officer was dispatched to the Farrington Building (1908 (Avenue J) to assist with a student who was transported to the Huntsville Memorial Hospital Emergency Room due to chronic medical issues.

15-6133, 2:23 PM, Criminal Mischief: An unknown suspect damaged a student’s vehicle while it was parked in the P-35 parking lot (1600 block Avenue I) by making indelible marks on a window. A report was filed.

15-6167, 9:04 PM, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: An officer investigating a report of a suspicious odor at a room at the Jackson-Shaver Hall found two students to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Both students (residents) were issued citations and released, and the paraphernalia was seized.


April 8, 2015
15-6030, 10:17 AM, Assist Other Agency (Huntsville PD): SHSU PD officers assisted Huntsville PD in the 1600 block of 10th Street with the search for and capture of a suspect who had fled from officers attempting to detain him.

15-6048, 1:36 PM, Theft: A student reported that an unknown suspect apparently took her Apple Macbook Pro, a drawing tablet, and the bag in which they were held, from a classroom in the CHSS building sometime after 3:30 p.m. on April 7, 2015, without her consent. The total value of the items taken was over $1,000.00.

15-6053, 3:50 PM, Theft: A student reported that she left her iPhone 5C unattended for 5 minutes in the dining area on the first floor of the Lowman Student Center. When she went to retrieve it she discovered that it had been taken by an unknown suspect, without her consent. The victim valued the phone at $100.00.

15-6085, 11:14 PM, Criminal Trespass: A student who had been issued a Criminal Trespass Warning for Lone Star Hall as a result of his involvement in a previous disturbance at that location (15-5234) was observed being allowed entry to the building by a resident. Subsequent investigation revealed that the subject was in residence at Lone Star Hall. The student was arrested for Criminal Trespass (Habitation, Misdemeanor A) and placed in the Walker County Jail.

April 7, 2015
15-2946, 12:10 PM, Medical Assist: An officer met with a student who reported that they tripped on rocks located on the steps leading toward the intersection of Sam Houston Avenue and 19th Street, injuring her ankle.

15-5956, 2:35 PM, Burglary of a Vehicle: A student reported that an unknown suspect apparently entered his vehicle and removed property without his consent on April 2, 2015, while it was parked in the P-14 parking lot (500 block of Bowers Boulevard).

15-5984, 7:49 PM, Medical Assist: A student participating in a martial arts class at the HKC (801 Bowers Boulevard) suffered a head injury with possibly signs of a concussion. Officers responded to the location to assist with the medical call.  The student was transported to Huntsville Memorial, ambulance, for further examination or treatment.

April 6, 2015

15-5844, 10:05 AM, Domestic Incident: An officer was dispatched to the Dan Rather Communications Building, located at 1804 Avenue J, in reference to a “Domestic Incident” report. A faculty member wished to document a domestic incident they were involved in off campus between April 3, 2015 and April 5, 2015, with their spouse in case issues arose on campus.

15-5852, 12:21 PM, Criminal Mischief: An officer was dispatched to the University Police Department, located at 2424 Sam Houston Avenue, in reference to a “Criminal Mischief” report. A complainant reported his vehicle appeared to be intentionally damaged while parked in the P30A parking lot, located in the 1000 block of 17th Street, between 8:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. The complainant signed a “Prosecution Form” expressing he wished to file a formal criminal complaint.

15-5856, 12:41 PM, Stolen Property: An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Varsity Drive and recovered stolen property. During the traffic investigation, the officer learned the displayed license plate was reported “stolen” out of Harris County. The officer determined the driver recently bought the vehicle from a private party that most likely was the suspect in the offense. The officer recovered the stolen license plate for Harris County and the driver was released.

15-5860, 1:40 PM, Criminal Mischief: An officer was dispatched to the P10 parking lot, located in the 800 block of Bowers Boulevard, in reference to a “Criminal Mischief” report. A student reported her scooter was damaged while parked at the aforementioned location between 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The complainant stated her scooter was relocated by an unknown individual to a different parking space than she left it as well. When asked, the subject expressed she wished to file a formal criminal complaint and signed a “Prosecution Form.” A report was filed.

15-5869, 3:39 PM, Theft: An officer was dispatched to the University Police Department, located at 2424 Sam Houston Avenue, in reference to a “Theft” report. A student reported she accidently left her “Apple” iPad Mini unattended in a classroom, located in the Smith-Hutson Building, located at 1821 Avenue I, on March 30, 2015. According to the student she was contacted by her professor informing her she turned the iPad into the Accounting Department Office. Subsequently, the secretary released the iPad to a female individual claiming to be the owner. The victim expressed she wished to file a formal criminal complaint and signed a “Prosecution

Form.” Additionally, the serial number was provided and entered into the state database TCIC/NCIC as “Stolen.”

15-5874, 4:46 PM, Medical Assist: An officer was dispatched to the Dan Rather Communications Building, located at 1804 Avenue J, to assist with a medical report.  It was reported that an individual had fainted and passed out in an elevator. The Huntsville/Walker County Emergency Medical Services was summoned to the scene and transported the subject to the Huntsville Memorial Hospital for further evaluation.

15-5881, 5:42 PM, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: An officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village, located at 1600 Sam Houston Avenue, in reference to a “Suspicious Incident” report. Upon arrival, a resident advisor reported observing marijuana buds on a resident’s desk while conducting a routine check of the dorm room. While on scene the resident in question arrived back at his dorm room. The officer met with the resident who admitted to possessing marijuana in his room earlier and the buds were left behind. At that time the officer issued the resident a citation for “Possession of Drug Paraphernalia” and released him.

April 3, 2015
15-5652, 12:53 AM, Failure to Identify: A SHSU PD officer working an off-duty job at a local nightclub encountered a suspicious person who provided a fictitious date of birth with his actual name when queried for his identification. When the subject’s actual identity was determined, he (a student) was arrested for Failure to Identify, a class B misdemeanor.

15-5672, 5:28 AM, Theft: A SHSU PD officer on patrol discovered that a barricade with a ‘No Thru Traffic Road Closed’ sign attached had been stolen from its location at the intersection of Bobby K. Marks Drive and Bowers Boulevard.

15-5684, 10:39 AM, Fire: A SHSU employee reported a fire in a dumpster near Lone Star Hall (900 block Bearkat
Boulevard. Subsequent investigation revealed that the source was a small amount of paper in an otherwise empty
dumpster, and the fire had extinguished itself without causing any damage prior to the officer's arrival.


April 2, 2015
15-5594, 12:49 PM, Follow-Up Investigation: The victim from an earlier theft report (15-5483) reported that her property had been turned in to the SHSU IT Department, and that she had retrieved it intact from them with nothing missing. A supplement to the original report was filed.

15-5600, 1:47 PM, Burglary of a Vehicle: A student reported that sometime between 9:15 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. an unknown suspect entered her parked, unattended, and presumably locked vehicle in the P-7 parking lot (1700 block Bobby K. Marks Drive) and took her wallet and most of its contents without her consent. Investigation revealed that a debit card from the wallet had been used at a nearby convenience store shortly before noon. A report was filed and the investigation continues.

15-5483, 11:08 AM, Theft: A student reported that her wallet and contents were taken while unattended outside of a room on the 4th floor of the Lee Drain Building (1900 Avenue I).

March 31, 2015
15-5398, 5:48 AMN, Found Property: A student reported that he observed a small Ziploc bag containing
marijuana on the ground, close to his room door, at Sam Houston Village (1600 Sam Houston Avenue). The
property was retrieved and a report was filed.

15-5422, 1:52 PM, Assault (Family Violence): A female student was assaulted by her former boyfriend (also a student) outside of Rachel Jackson House (1600 block Avenue I). Injury was minor and the victim declined prosecution. A copy of the report will be forwarded to the Dean of Students’ Office for judicial Review.


March 30, 2015

15-5343, 8:54 AM, Theft: An officer was dispatched to the Lee Drain Building (1900 Avenue I) in reference to a “Theft” report. A student reported her back pack was taken without her permission by an unknown suspect from the lobby area between 8:36 a.m. and 8:37 a.m., while she left it unattended.



15-5351, 1:09 PM, Theft: An officer was dispatched to a “Theft” report. Upon arrival, a student reported his wallet was taken by an unknown suspect without his permission from the Health and Kinesiology Center (801 Bowers Boulevard).

15-5352, 1:19 PM, Theft: An officer was dispatched to the University Police Department in reference to a “Theft” report. A student reported that her wallet was taken from her back pack at an unknown location between March 16, 2015 and March 30, 2015, and the suspect attempted to open a cellular phone account in the victim’s name. The complainant wished to file charges.

15-5360, 4:10 PM, Theft: An officer was dispatched to the Music Building (1751 Avenue I) for a “Theft” report. A faculty member with the IT@SAM Department reported that a desktop was taken from a classroom without permission between March 28, 2015 and March 30, 2015. The complainant wished to file charges.


March 29, 2015
15-5303, Minor Accident, 4:09 PM: Vehicles traveling through the library parking lot were involved in a collision. A Crash Report was filed.

15-5304, Theft, 4:17 PM: A Resident of Estill Hall (1002 Bearkat Boulevard) reported that a sum of U.S. Currency was missing from a stored location within the contents belonging to her in the room. A report was filed and an investigation continues.

15-5234, Criminal Trespass Warning Issued, 2:02 PM: An officer issued a criminal trespass warning to a student following a disturbance at Lone Star Hall 910 Bearkat Boulevard).

15-5247, Traffic Arrest, 5:29 PM: An officer conducted a traffic stop which resulted in an arrest of subject for moving and driver’s license violations in the 1900 block of Sycamore Avenue.

March 27, 2015
15-5081, 2:42 AM, Assist Other Agency (Huntsville PD): Two SHSU PD officers responded with several Huntsville PD officers to the scene in the 1000 block of Avenue J of a reported Burglary in Progress. UPD officers assisted in the detention of the suspect.
 
15-5083, 4:59 AM, Assist Other Agency (Huntsville PD): A SHSU PD officer responded as a secondary unit to a suspicious person call that HPD was investigating near the intersection of Avenue J and 14th Street. The suspect involved was riding a bicycle and was determined to have stolen several items of value from unknown sources.

15-5038, 4:59 PM, Welfare Concern: At the request of a Counseling Center employee, a student in need of a mental health evaluation was transported from the counseling center to Huntsville Memorial Hospital.

March 25, 2015
15-4853, 12:10 AM, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: An officer investigating a suspicious odor detained a vehicle in the 100 block of IH-45 South and determined that the driver was in possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver, a SHSU student, was cited, the contraband was confiscated, and a report was filed.

15-4855, 12:19 AM, Sexual Assault: A female student reported that she was sexually assaulted by a known acquaintance in her on campus housing complex room earlier in the evening. At this time the victim did not desire an investigation into the incident, nor prosecution.  Further comment by victim indicated that they only wanted to make a report of the incident.  The University Police Department’s preliminary investigation has indicated that there is not an immediate threat to the University community.

15-4921, 4:11 PM, Criminal Mischief: A student reported that an acquaintance (another student) asked for his phone, and upon receiving it threw it to the ground, breaking it. The victim did not desire prosecution. A report was filed.

March 24, 2015
15-4725, 4:04 PM, Criminal Mischief: An officer was dispatched to the P37 Parking Lot (located in the 1100 block of Bearkat Boulevard) in reference to a “Criminal Mischief” report. A student reported her vehicle was intentionally vandalized between 11:00 AM and 1:20 PM. An unknown suspect(s) keyed obscenities into the subject’s vehicle. When asked, the complainant stated she thought the damage could have been caused by some former friends that made threats. An offense report was completed.

15-4736, 7:14 PM, Criminal Mischief: An Officer was dispatched to the Sam Houston Village Parking Garage, located in the 1600 block of Sam Houston Avenue, in reference to a “Criminal Mischief” report. A resident reported their vehicle appeared to be intentionally damaged between 4:00 PM and the time of this report. The complainant stated an unknown suspect broke out the back windshield of his vehicle. When asked, the complainant expressed that he wished to file a formal criminal complaint and signed a “Prosecution Form.” An offense report was completed.

15-4742, 8:42 PM, Criminal Trespass Warning Issued: Officers were dispatched to the Health and Kinesiology Center, located at 801 Bowers Boulevard, in reference to an unruly non-student patron. The HKC staff reported a male subject was being uncooperative and refusing to leave after violating their dress code policy. Upon officers arrival the subject refused to exit the building, and was subsequently detained in wrist restraints and escorted outside. During the investigation the subject kept interrupting officers as they tried to talk to him about the incident. Due to the totality of the circumstances and the subject not having any affiliation with Sam Houston State University, he was issued a “Criminal Trespass Warning” for the HKC facility. A report was filed.
15-4803, 12:17 PM, Welfare Concern: An outside agency provided information to SHSU PD that possibly called attention to a particular student as a welfare concern. An investigation was initiated and a report completed.

15-4821, 4:06 PM, Duty Upon Striking: An unidentified driver of an unknown vehicle struck and damaged a vehicle parked in the P-18 parking lot (2000 block Bobby K. Marks Drive) then fled without leaving information as required by law. A report was filed.
 

March 23, 2015
15-4685, Reckless Damage, 4:45 AM: An unknown subject drove a vehicle through the grass lawn at the museum grounds causing damage to the grass (tire ruts). The vehicle became stuck and the operator of the vehicle walked away from the scene. The complaint was called in to our department by the wrecker service that was contacted by the subject. The subject was unknown by the wrecker driver as well. The vehicle was towed from the scene and is currently being held until the driver is positively identified. No damage was incurred to any structures.

March 22, 2015
15-4634, Disorderly Conduct, 2:20 AM: An officer on patrol observed a female subject urinating in a parking lot 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue as patrons were leaving an establishment. The female denied the incident and was deceptive about her age. The officer determined that the underage female had been consuming alcohol prior to the encounter. 15-4673, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 10:43 PM: An officer was dispatched to a suspicious odor at Jackson Shaver Hall (1201 17th Street). A consent to search yielded the discovery of drug paraphernalia. The individual in the residence was cited for the offense and released. A copy of the report will be forwarded to the Department of Residence Life and the Dean of Students’ office for further disciplinary proceedings.

15-4490, 11:09 AM, Duty Upon Striking: A witness reported observing an unknown driver/vehicle strike and cause damage to a parked vehicle in the P-23 parking lot (2100 Avenue I) and then depart without leaving required information. An offense report was completed and an investigation is ongoing.

15-4524, 3:45 PM, Duty Upon Striking: A SHSU employee parked his vehicle in the P-24 parking lot (2000 Ave. J). Upon his return he discovered that an unknown driver/vehicle struck and caused damage to his parked vehicle, then fled the scene without leaving required information. An offense report was completed.

15-4550, 9:52 PM, Assist Other Agency (Huntsville PD): Two SHSU PD officers responded, along with several Huntsville PD officers, to the Brook Place Apartments (5020 Sam Houston Avenue) regarding a shots fired call. On scene investigation by HPD resulted in a Burglary of Habitation report being filed a SHSU student being arrested for Possession of Marijuana.

15-4551, 10:09 PM, Medical Assist: A SHSU student injured one of her knees while playing basketball at the HKC. She was assisted back to her residence at Bearkat Village, where she aggravated the injury while ascending some stairs. The student did not desire transport to the emergency room.

15-4562, Welfare Concern, 7:48 AM: A professor contacted the Police Department in reference to an email that he received from a student to be “dark” in nature, speculating that the student contemplated suicide. The officer spoke with the subject, who stated that it was a misunderstanding.

15-4461, 1:47 AM, Public Intoxication: A student was found passed out and lying on the ground underneath a concrete ramp leading to a doorway on a building in the 2400 block of Avenue I, near the Small Business Development Center. The investigating officer awakened the student and determined that he was intoxicated. The student was arrested and a report was filed.

The student was arrested, the contraband collected, and a report was filed.

15-4258, 12:38 AM, Domestic Incident: An officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village (2401 Montgomery Road) in reference to two students involved in a dating relationship that became involved in a heated verbal argument.  Upon investigation, it was learned that one of the involved parties had sent text messages to a third party. No assault occurred. A report was completed and will be sent to the Dean of Students’ Office for judicial review.

15-4176, 1:51 AM, Theft: An officer was dispatched to Estill Hall, located at 1002 16th Street, in reference to a “Theft” report. The officer met with a resident who advised money was taken from her wallet without her consent by a known suspect earlier in the night. When asked, the subject stated that she did not wish to file a formal criminal complaint and signed a “Non-Prosecution Form.” A report was completed.

15-4195, 11:29 AM, Sexual Assault: A student reported that his girlfriend recently informed him that she was sexually assaulted in the Newton Gresham Library parking lot (1800 block of Bobby K. Marks Drive) on campus in mid-February during the early evening hours. The victim has not contacted the police, and there is no suspect description. Anyone with any further information is asked to contact the Sam Houston State University Police Department at 936-294-1800 and use option 3.

15-4246, 10:05 PM, Duty Upon Striking: A student reported that she believed her vehicle, while parked at one of two different locations on campus earlier this date, was damaged when it was struck by another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle failed to leave information as required by law. A report was filed.

15-4123, 12:12 PM, Damage to University Property: An officer was dispatched to the Teacher Education Center, located at 1908 Bobby K. Marks Drive, in reference to a “Damage to University Property” report. Officer met with a faculty member who reported a damaged lock on a south exterior door that was most likely damaged between March 15, 2015 at 12:54 a.m. and time of this report.

15-4131, 2:00 PM, Harassment: An officer was dispatched to the University Policy Department, located at 2424 Sam Houston Avenue, in reference to a “Harassment” report. Officer met with a female complainant reporting that she was receiving unwanted communication from her ex-boyfriend via text messages and social media. Additionally, the complainant reported concerning unwanted behavior her ex-boyfriend attempted during their relationship. When asked, the subject expressed she did not wish to file a formal criminal complaint and signed a “Non-Prosecution Form.” A report was filed.

15-4141, 3:05 PM, Suspicious Incident: An officer was dispatched to Gibbs Ranch, located at 104 Fraser Road, in reference to a “Suspicious Incident” report. Officer met with the Gibbs Ranch staff members who reported that a week old calf was found deceased in one of the pastures with a significant injury on its left side. One of the staff members reported observing several suspicious male subjects in the area and he did not know if they had permission to be there. Due to the circumstances, it was unknown if the calf was intentionally killed or injured by a larger cow. A report was completed.

15-4148, 5:16 PM, Accident/Minor: An officer was dispatched to the P6 (Library) Parking Lot, located at 1830 Bobby K. Marks Drive, in reference to an “Accident/Minor” report. Officer met with a subject who backed into a parked vehicle, causing that parked vehicle to collide with another parked vehicle. A report was filed.

15-4155, 7:33 PM, Assault: An officer was dispatched to the University Police Department, located at 2424 Sam Houston Avenue, in reference to an “Assault” report. Officer met with a female student who reported being intentionally tripped while jogging at the Sam Houston Village Parking Garage, located at 1600 Sam Houston Avenue. The complainant stated as she observed a group of three females approaching her, one of those subjects intentionally tripped her causing injury to the right side of her head and right eye. When asked, the complainant expressed that she wanted to file a formal criminal complaint and signed a “Prosecution Form.” An offense report was completed.

15-4082, Criminal Trespass Warning Issued, 3:10 PM: A male subject was reported to be urinating in the grass on campus in the 1000 block of Bearkat Boulevard. After contact with the subject was made by the officer, a “Criminal Trespass Warning” was issued to the subject due to this incident and the subject’s criminal history record. It should be noted that the subject was not a student. A report was filed.

15-4030, Damage to University Property, 1:58 PM: A contracted pest control company employee reported that a dorm room (Sam Houston Village/1600 Sam Houston Avenue) was flooded. The reporting officer discovered a leaking fire sprinkler head in one room, which sent water to the room directly below it as well, causing saturated carpets. The maintenance department was contacted to repair the leak.

15-3851, 5:11 AM, Motorist Assist:  An officer responded to FM 247 and Bedias Creek to assist the Walker County Sheriff's Office with a motorist that had left the roadway and was stranded in her vehicle in high water. Officer Carrell and a WCSO deputy on scene waded into swift water and assisted the motorist to dry ground.

15-3886, 8:55 PM, Public Intoxication:  A student was found near the Estill Building (1900 Block of University Avenue) to be intoxicated to the point of being a danger to herself and others.  Subsequently, the individual was arrest and transported to the Walker County Jail.

15-3793, Damage to University Property, 9:55 AM:  A university employee struck a stop sign (Avenue J and 17th Street) while operating a university golf cart.  The golf cart and stop sign sustained damages.  No injuries were reported and a report was completed.

15-3666, Driving Under the Influence – Minor, 12:38 AM: An officer observed a vehicle strike another vehicle while leaving a parking lot. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the 1600 block of Sam Houston Avenue. During the investigation, it was determined that the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage prior to driving the vehicle and also had alcohol present in the vehicle. The driver was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a Minor, Minor in Possession of Alcohol and also cited for Open Container. The passenger was cited for Minor in Consumption of Alcohol and released from the scene to a sober individual. An offense report was completed.

15-3691, 10:05 AM, Traffic Arrest: A SHSU PD officer arrested a driver after having stopped a vehicle, in the 2500 block of Lake Road, for a traffic violation and determining that the driver had no license nor insurance.

15-3698, 11:04 AM, Criminal Mischief: A student reported that an unknown suspect may have introduced a harmful substance into the fuel tank of her vehicle while it was parked in the Raven Village parking lot (2100 block Avenue I). An offense report was filed.

15-3704, 12:48 PM, Duty Upon Striking: A student reported that the unknown driver of an unknown vehicle had struck his vehicle while it was parked in the Sam Houston Parking Garage (1730 Avenue I), causing damage. The other driver fled the scene without leaving information as required by law. A report was filed.

15-3721, 5:52 PM, Supplement: The boyfriend of the victim in an earlier Criminal Mischief call contacted the department to report that his vehicle may have been tampered with as well, although at a location off campus. A supplement to the original report was filed.

15-3724, 6:41 PM, Criminal Trespass Warning/Violation of Student Code of Conduct: A student who was being evicted from campus housing (Bearkat Village/2400 block of Montgomery Road), due to having been involved in a Possession of Marijuana/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia offense earlier in the week, at his residence became abusive to and disruptive with Residence Life personnel during the eviction process. A report was completed and a criminal trespass warning was issued to the individual.

15-3625, Traffic Arrest, 4:02 PM: An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 2800 block of Sam Houston Avenue for a traffic related offense. During the investigation, it was determined the driver had multiple active suspensions on his driver’s license. The driver was arrested for Driving While License Invalid and transported to the Walker County Jail.

15-3647, Welfare Concern, 7:38 PM: Officers were dispatched to Pritchett Field, located at 1721 Avenue O, in reference to a suicidal male. The subject was voluntarily transported by emergency medical services to Huntsville Memorial Hospital for further evaluation.

15-3422, Possession of Marijuana <2oz., 12:03 AM:  The odor of burning marijuana was reported to be emitting form a dorm room at the Sam Houston Village (1600 Sam Houston Avenue). Officers arrived on scene and discovered marijuana after a consented search was conducted. The student resident was arrested after admitting possession of contraband. The other parties involved were identified and an offense report was completed.

15-3441, 10:27 AM, Supplement: An officer located a possible suspect from an earlier “Suspicious Person” call at a location off campus, identified him, and issued him a Criminal Trespass Warning for all of SHSU property.

15-3449, 12:35 PM, Welfare Concern: An officer checked on the welfare of a resident student who was distressed over school and personal issues. After speaking with the student at length, the officer determined that the student was not likely to be harmful to self or others. The student also declined assistance from other University resources advising that arrangements to see a specialist had already been made by the student’s parents.

15-3482, 9:09 PM, Possession of Marijuana:  An officer investigating a ‘Suspicious Odor’ call Bearkat Village (2401 Montgomery Road) determined that marijuana had recently been smoked in a room. A search warrant was obtained, the room was searched, and contraband was. Subsequently, two students assigned to the room were arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

15-3356, Duty on Striking Unattended Vehicle, 12:08 AM: A female subject reported that her parked vehicle was struck by another unknown vehicle in the Library Parking Lot (located in the 1800 block of Bobby K Marks Drive). An offense report was completed.

15-3364, Violation of Student Code of Conduct, 8:49 AM: A female subject from the State of Louisiana reported that several current SHSU students, speculated to be friends of her ex-boyfriend, were harassing her via social media. The female was advised to file a report with her hometown agency and an administrative report of their conduct was completed.  A copy will be forwarded to the Dean of Students’ Office of judicial review.

15-3382, Suspicious Incident, 2:05 PM:  An officer was dispatched to the Lee Drain Building (1900 Avenue I) in reference to a report of a suspicious incident.  The officer met with a female student who reported that she was approached by a male asking to use her cell phone.  The female lent her phone to the male subject who did not want to give it back. He then asked her to go to a hotel with him and wanted her to use her identification to check him in. The student walked away, with her phone, and advised her professor of the incident. A suspicious incident report was completed.

15-3383, Medical Assist, 2:39 PM: Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Bowers Boulevard (near the intersections of Sam Houston Avenue and Bowers Boulevard) to assist with a medical call.  It should be noted that CPR was in progress until emergency medical services and the Fire Department arrived on the scene. The subject was transported to the hospital, via ambulance, for further treatment.

15-3397, Minor in Possession of Alcohol, 6:24 PM: An officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village (1600 Sam Houston Avenue) in reference to an alcohol violation. An officer arrived on scene and confirmed the possession. The subject was issued a citation and a report was completed.

15-3405, Welfare Concern, 8:54 PM: An officer was dispatched to White Hall (2101 Avenue I) in reference to a report of a student who feeling depressed, but not suicidal. An officer met with the student transported the student to the University Police Department where the student was able to speak with a University counselor.

15-3220, 7:22 AM, Damage to University Property: A water valve malfunction resulted in a significant leak damaging several rooms within an office suite at the Health and Kinesiology Center (801 Bowers Boulevard). Appropriate university departments were contacted regarding stoppage of the leak and damaged property and a report was completed.

15-3241, 10:55 AM, Duty Upon Striking: An individual reported that her vehicle was damaged by an unknown suspect while it was parked in the P-35 lot (1600 block of Avenue J). An investigation was conducted and a report filed.

15-3264, 5:40 PM, Violation of Student Code of Conduct: During an investigation of a verbal domestic dispute, it was learned that two students had engaged in conduct that violated the SHSU Student Code of Conduct. The incident took place at Anne Shaver House (1619 Avenue J). A report was completed and will be forwarded to the Dean of Students’ Office and the Department of Residence Life for judicial review.

15-3269, 7:35 PM, Assist Other Agency/Warrant Service: A resident of Lone Star Hall (910 Bearkat Boulevard) was determined to have an outstanding warrant from an outside agency. An officer responded to that location, located the student, and the student was arrested.

15-3180, 11:56 AM, Theft: An employee of the Sociology Department, while conducting an inventory, discovered that a laptop computer and digital projector belonging to the university were missing. A theft report was completed.

15-3215, 11:46 PM, Evading: An officer attempted a traffic stop of a vehicle in the 1700 block of Sam Houston Avenue for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle did not yield, and a check of the license plate revealed that the vehicle had been reported as stolen out of Harris County on February 21, 2015. The driver continued to evade at ever increasing speeds, traveling northbound on Sam Houston Avenue, then westbound on 11th Street, and finally proceeding southbound onto IH-45. Assistance was requested from neighboring agencies to the south, and a Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol unit deployed spikes in northern Montgomery County. Two of the fleeing vehicle’s tires deflated and the vehicle came to a stop off road near the 94 mile marker, and five suspects then fleeing into the woods to the west. Multiple officers from several agencies assisted in the search for the suspects, including a DPS helicopter. All five suspects were eventually taken into custody and the stolen vehicle was recovered.

15-3086, 2:32 AM, Violation of Student Code of Conduct: An officer was requested on scene by the Huntsville Police Department on a traffic stop, located at Huntsville Food Mart #1 (2309 Lake Road). Upon arrival of the UPD officer, a HPD officer advised that a female student detained by them was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. During the investigation it was determined there was possibly further drug paraphernalia at the student’s dorm room located on campus. The UPD officer responded to that location with the resident, obtained consent to search the residence; however, no further contraband was found. The student was released with a citation issued by the Huntsville Police Department for “Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.”

15-3100, 11:20 AM, Welfare Concern:  An officer was dispatched to the University Police Department, located at 2424 Sam Houston Avenue, in reference to a “Welfare Concern” report. Officer made contact with a student of concern, via telephone, who was reportedly making comments that made the complainant worry for this individual. Upon making contact with the subject, the individual agreed to talk with a counselor at the Counseling Center and was escorted by the officer to the Counseling Center.

15-3115, 3:54 PM, Burglary of a Motor Vehicle: An officer was dispatched to the University Police Department, located at 2424 Sam Houston Avenue, in reference to a “Burglary of a Motor Vehicle” report. Officer met with a student who reported a that laptop was taken from their vehicle on February 18, 2015 between 3:45 PM and 9:00 PM; while parked in the P24 parking lot, located in the 2000 block of Avenue J. An offense report was completed.

15-3123, 5:06 PM, Damage to University Property: An officer was dispatched to the Health and Kinesiology Center, located at 801 Bowers Boulevard, in reference to a “Damage to University Property” report. Upon arrival, the officer was directed to a water leak in an office that caused damage to the ceiling. At that this time the incident was referred to Physical Plant and they determined the source of the leak was a broken pipe cover.

15-3034, Violation of Student Code of Conduct, 12:05 AM: An officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village in reference to a note being found on the complainant’s residence door after a “knock and run.” The officer investigated the incident and was later approached by the responsible actor, advising that he was friends with the complainant and that it was all a misunderstanding. A report was completed in reference to the incident.

15-3051, 12:00 PM, Welfare Concern: Officers were dispatched to the Ron Randleman Weight Center, located at 620 Bowers Boulevard, in reference to a “Welfare Concern” report. Officers met with a student who was suffering from mental health related issues. Due to the subject’s state of mind, the officers took the subject into custody for an emergency mental health evaluation. The subject was transported to Conroe Regional Medical Center for further evaluation.

15-3080, 10:38 PM, Damage to University Property: An officer was dispatched to the University Police Department, located at 2424 Sam Houston Avenue, in reference to a “Damage to University Property” report. A faculty member reported that he struck a deer while operating a University vehicle on State Highway 30 West near Huntsville, causing damage to the vehicle.

15-3017, Medical Assist, 6:37 PM: An officer responded to the HKC (801 Bowers Boulevard) to assist with a reported injury. The male was transported by ambulance to Huntsville Memorial Hospital for further evaluation.

15-3033, Welfare Concern, 11:26 PM: An officer met with a complainant at Lone Star Hall (910 Bearkat Boulevard) in reference to a report that a student was concerned for the welfare of his roommate. Officer were able to make contact with the roommate who advised that he was not having any issues. The student was informed of University resources available if needed.

15-2943, AOA - Walker County Sheriff’s Department, 3:56 AM: An officer assisted the Walker County Sheriff’s Department with a “Domestic in Progress” report at a residence off of Bowden Road. The officer secured the scene prior to the deputy’s arrival. The deputy arrived on scene, investigated the incident, and made an arrest. A supplement report was completed.


15-2950, Medical Assist, 1:23 PM: An officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village (2400 block Montgomery Road) to assist with a reported medical issue. The officer arrived on scene with emergency medical services and a male student was transported to Huntsville Memorial Hospital, per his request, for a further medical evaluation.

15-2952, Harassment, 3:24 PM: An officer met with female complainant at the University Police Department who reported that she has been receiving alarming texts messages.  The complainant stated that she believed these unwanted text messages were from an ex-girlfriend of a male that she is currently seeing. 15-2960, Welfare Concern, 6:16 PM: An officer was dispatched to the Performing Arts Center in reference to a Welfare Concern report.  Prior to arrival, the officer was informed that a female subject was reported to be experiencing suicidal thoughts. Upon arrival, the officer located the female in question and summoned University resources for assistance.  The female was subsequently transported to Huntsville Memorial Hospital for further evaluation.

15-2684, 8:20 PM, Theft: An officer was dispatched to the Music Building (1751 Avenue I) where a student reported that his phone had been stolen. Sometime, the complainant contacted the reporting officer to advise that it had been retrieved by a friend and returned.

15-2696, 11:21 PM, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A SHSU PD Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 1700 block of Sam Houston Avenue.  While speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of marijuana. The subject was arrested, the contraband collected, and an offense report was completed

15-2275, 9:31 PM, Criminal Trespass Warning Issued:  An officer was dispatched to Raven Village (2133 Avenue I) in reference to a report of a possible altercation.  Upon arrival, officers identified a male and female student (in a dating relationship) that had been arguing loudly. At this time, to prevent further arguments in the housing facility, both were issued criminal trespass warning for each other’s residences.  An incident report was completed and will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for judicial review.

15-2281, 11:03 PM, Criminal Trespass Warning Issued: Officer were dispatched to Lone Star Hall (910 Bearkat Boulevard) in reference to a disturbance.  Upon arrival, the officer located a group of individuals in the lobby area in conflict with one another (female university students).  At this time, three female students who did not reside at the complex were issued Criminal Trespass Warnings for Lone Star Hall.  An incident report was completed and a copy will be sent to the Dean of Students’ Office for judicial review.

15-2198, 5:20 PM, Supplement (Criminal Trespass Warning Issued): An individual who may possibly have been involved in an earlier theft incident (15-2029) was located at the HKC (801 Bowers Boulevard). The subject was identified and issued a Criminal Trespass Warning for all SHSU property. A supplement to the earlier offense report was filed.

15-2217, 10:50 PM, Assist Other Agency: Several SHSU PD officers attempted to assist in protecting the public during a vehicle pursuit being led by a deputy with the Walker County Sheriff’s Office. Due to the course travelled and the speeds involved, SHSU PD officers were not able to be directly involved in the pursuit.

15-2104, 12:29 AM, Traffic Arrest: While conducting a traffic stop in the 5000 block of Sam Houston Avenue, the officer determined that the driver’s Texas identification card had multiple periods of active suspensions. Additionally, the driver could not provide proof of financial responsibility, displayed expired motor vehicle registration and inspection on the vehicle. Subsequently, the subject was taken into custody and transported to the Walker County Jail. At the jail, the subject was charged with “Driving While License suspended/Invalid”, “No Insurance”, “Expired Registration” and “Expired Inspection”; all Class “C” Misdemeanor offenses.

15-2127, 4:36 PM, Duty Upon Striking: An unknown driver struck a parked vehicle in the P-23 lot (2100 block of Avenue I), causing damage, then fled without leaving information as required by law. An offense report was completed.

15-2136, 7:29 PM, Damage to University Property: A faculty member reported a malfunctioning card reader on the south entrance to the CFS Building (1003 Bowers Boulevard). The investigating officer determined that the damage was most likely caused by incidental contact with the adjacent door. A report was completed documenting the incident.

15-2141, 9:06 PM, Possession of Marijuana: A resident advisor called SHSU PD and advised of a suspicious odor coming from a room in Building K at Bearkat Village (2400 block Montgomery Road). The responding officer conducted an investigation which revealed that a resident was in possession of over 1.5 ounces of marijuana and other paraphernalia. The student was arrested, the contraband collected, and an offense report was completed.

15-2064, 1:20 PM, Welfare Concern: An officer was dispatched to the Health and Counseling Center, located at 1608 Avenue J, in reference to a “Medical Assist.” Upon arrival, the officer met with staff in reference to a male student that was in an incoherent mental status and unable to clearly communicate. Due to the subject’s unknown medical condition, Huntsville/Walker County Emergency Medical Services responded and transported the individual to Huntsville Memorial Hospital for further evaluation.

15-2010, 2:19 AM, Violation of Student Code of Conduct: An officer was dispatched to Elliot Hall (10006 17th Street) to assist with a medical call.  Upon arrival, the officer learned that a 17 year-old female student was reported to be intoxicated in her residence. Upon investigation, the student was not deemed intoxicated beyond the point of being a danger to herself or others by emergency medical technicians. The female refused transport to the hospital and was remanded into the care of her roommate. An incident report was completed

15-2022, Welfare Concern, 1:36 PM: A female subject was reported to be having suicidal thoughts through third party information. The officer on scene spoke with the female and then the counseling department. At this the individual did not appear to be a threat to herself or others.  An incident report was completed.

15-2029, Theft, 6:02 PM: An officer was dispatched to the HKC (801 Bowers Boulevard) in reference to a theft.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who reported his iPhone 5s was stolen from his unsecured backpack on basketball court #1.  An offense

15-1961, Burglary of Motor Vehicle, 11:16 AM:  While working an extra job in the 1000 block of 17th Street, the officer was advised of a burglary that had just occurred in the P-28 parking lot (1800 block of Sam Houston Avenue).  The complainant stated that he observed to fraternity members steal their fraternity flag with pole from the bed of his pickup truck.  When the complainant approached the suspects demanding the flag back, a male through it at him striking him in the face causing pain and a scratch to his face. An offense report was completed.

15-1963, Medical Assist, 12:49 PM, An officer was dispatched to Jackson-Shaver Hall (1201 17th Street) to assist with a reported medical call.  Upon arrival, the officer was directed to a male patient who was extremely intoxicated.  Prior to the officer's arrival, emergency medical services were summoned to the scene as well.  It was determined that the patient was under the age of 21 and not a danger to himself or others and was left in the care of the caller.  An incident report was completed.

15-1857, 12:42 AM, Assist Other Agency/Warrant Service: An officer who had stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation (3000 block Lake Road) determined that a passenger had an outstanding probation violation warrant from Trinity County. Further investigation revealed that this subject was also in possession of drug paraphernalia, while the driver was found to be in possession of a dangerous drug. Both occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody and transported to the Walker County Jail.

15-1887, 11:10 AM, Seizure of Disabled Parking Placard: An individual who had been using a handicapped parking placard issued to another had the placard seized by an officer. A report was filed.

15-1889, 11:47 AM, Burglary of a Habitation: An officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village (1600 Sam Houston Avenue) where a student reported that an unknown suspect entered her room and took her property (billfold and contents) without her consent at some point over an approximately 24 hour period. A report was filed.

15-1909, 4:23 PM, Supplement (to 15-1826) – An individual in a previous offense report contacted the department to provide identifying information (SHSU Property Tag number, serial number, and model).

15-1936, 9:00 PM, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: Officers responded to a fire alarm at White Hall (2101 Avenue I). Investigation of the source led responding officers to discover that a resident had been smoking marijuana and was in possession of drug paraphernalia. The resident was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and the policy violation was referred to Residence Life for disposition.

15-1948, 11:42 PM., Assist Other Agency/Warrant Service: An officer who had conducted a traffic stop in the 3000 block of Sam Houston Avenue determined that the driver was wanted on several misdemeanor warrants out of another, local agency. The subject was arrested and transported to jail.

15-1802, 12:56 AM, Welfare Concern: A student called from a residence hall in the 2100block of Avenue I advising that she wanted to speak with an officer regarding her anxiety and her desire to cause harm to herself. Responding officers assisted the student by arranging for her to meet with a counselor at a different location. A report was completed.

15-1821, 3:14 PM, Domestic Incident: Residents in a room at Raven Village (2133 Avenue I) heard what they believed to be a disturbance coming from a neighboring room and called the police. Responding officers conducted an investigation and determined that the resident in the room in question had been in an argument but had not been harmed, and that the other party had already left the scene. An incident report was completed.

15-1825, 3:51 PM, Theft: Employees at the Barnes and Noble bookstore in the Lowman Student Center (1802 Avenue I) observed a suspect, believed to be a student, leaving the store with property for which he had not paid. When confronted upon leaving the store, the suspect gave the property back to management then fled the scene. An offense report was completed.

15-1826, 3:53 PM, Theft: A university employee reported that a university-owned laptop computer has been missing from Academic Building III (1922 Avenue J) since January 21, 2015 and is believed to be stolen. An offense report was filed.

15-1832, 5:32 PM, Chemical Spill: A university employee used a commercial drain cleaning chemical to unclog a drain in a lab on the first floor of the Lee Drain Building. Sometime later, occupants reported a noxious odor coming from the sink/drain. It appears that the drain cleaning chemical had reacted negatively with some unknown substance in the drain, and the building was evacuated for the purpose of safety.  A commercial hazardous materials response team responded and resolved the issue.

15-1794, 10:26 PM, Possession of Controlled Substance: An officer investigating suspicious behavior during a traffic stop, in the 1500 block of Sam Houston Avenue, conducted an investigation and found the driver to be in possession of several hydrocodone tablets. 15-1707, 10:26 AM, Duty Upon Striking: A student reported that his vehicle was struck by another vehicle while parked and unattended over a 2-day timespan in the P-21 parking lot (Raven Village parking area). The driver of the other vehicle failed to leave any information as required by law. An offense report was completed.

15-1711, 11:27 AM, Possession of Marijuana: A bicycle officer on patrol in the P-14 parking lot (Bowers Stadium parking area) smelled a suspicious odor believed to be marijuana. His subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a student for Possession of Marijuana (Class B Misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor).

15-1712, 12:33 PM, Follow-Up Investigation: The victim from an earlier Duty Upon Striking call came to the police department to provide an estimate for repairs to his vehicle and to complete a non-prosecution request. A supplement to the original report (1500001370) was completed.

15-1713, 1:08 PM, Duty Upon Striking: A student reported that his vehicle was struck by another vehicle while parked and unattended over a 90 minute period in the P-24 parking lot (2000 block of Avenue J). The driver of the other vehicle failed to leave any information as required by law. An offense report was completed.

15-1751, 11:45 PM, Interpersonal Conflict: An officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village (1600 Sam Houston Avenue) in reference to a disturbance.  Upon arrival, the officer determined that a student who had previously been involved in a dating relationship with another student became upset when he determined that she was now in a new relationship. He was restrained by friends when he attempted to make contact with the new suitor. A report was completed and will be referred to the Dean of Students’ Office for judicial review.

15-1663, 1:18 PM, Medical Assist: An officer was dispatched to the P5 parking lot, located in the 1600 block of Bobby K. Marks Drive, in reference to a “Medical Assist” report. During the investigation, it was determined the incident location was in the area of the P4 parking lot, located at 1640 Bobby K. Marks Drive. A student reported she injured herself while walking by losing her balance and falling to the ground. Walker County Emergency Medical Services were summoned and the subject refused further medical assistance.

15-1678, 5:58 PM, Medical Assist: An officer responded to the P23 parking lot, located in the 2100 block of Avenue I, in reference to “Medical Assist” report. A student reported she injured herself, felt dizzy and light headed after having missed stepped and falling. Walker County Emergency Medical Services were summoned to the scene and it was determined the subject did not need to be transported.

15-1688, 10:17 PM, Assist Outside Agency/Warrant Service, Driving While License Suspended/Invalid, Criminal Trespass Warning Issued: An officer initiated a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Bobby K. Marks Drive. A computerized inquiry into the driver’s Texas driver’s licenses revealed three active arrest warrants issued by the Huntsville Municipal Court. Additionally, the subjects Texas driver’s license revealed two active suspensions. Subsequently, the subject was taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, booked on the aforementioned warrants and charged with “Driving While License Suspended/Invalid.

15-1689, 10:27 PM, Theft: An officer was dispatched to the Criminal Justice Center TDCJ Dorms, located at 816 17th Street, in reference to a “Theft” report. A TDCJ cadet stated her wallet was taken from her room without her consent by an unknown suspect.

15-1692, 10:58 PM, Duty Upon Striking: An officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village, located at 2400 Montgomery Road, in reference to a “Duty Upon Striking” report. A student reported that her vehicle was damaged while parked in the parking lot between 9:20 PM and 10:45 PM by an unknown vehicle.

15-1491, 12:31 AM, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A non-student was stopped for a traffic violation in
the 1600 block of Avenue M. During the traffic stop, it was determined that the subject was in possession of drug paraphernalia. The subject was arrested and given a criminal trespass warning for SHSU property.

15-1496, 7:06 AM, Warrant Service:  An officer located a wanted individual through this department in the 1300 block of Smither Driver.  The individual was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail where they were booked on the outstanding warrant of arrest.  It should be noted that the arrest was related to striking a parked vehicle and leaving the scene without providing information regarding the accident.

15-1518, 10:28 AM, Assist Other Agency/Warrant Service: SHSU PD officers, using warrant information from Huntsville Police Department, located a former student at his residence on Sycamore Avenue and arrested him on Huntsville PD warrants for Theft and Failure to Appear.

15-1530, 1:47 PM, Assist Other Agency (Huntsville PD): A SHSU PD officer assisted Huntsville PD with a traffic stop on 14th Street which resulted in an arrest for driving while intoxicated. A supplement report was completed.

15-1564, 9:25 PM, Public Intoxication: A SHSU PD officer responded to a disturbance in progress at the McDonald’s restaurant located at 2502 Sam Houston Avenue. At this time, the officer arrested the involved party for Public Intoxication. Am offense report was completed.

15-1566, 10:08 PM, Medical Assist: A student skateboarding at the SHSU Parking Garage received minor injuries in a fall. An ambulance was summoned to the scene, but a further medical evaluation was declined.

15-1425, 2:18 AM, Assist Other Agency: An officer checked by with a Huntsville Police Department officer on a traffic stop on Sam Houston Avenue near the museum grounds. The traffic stop resulted in the driver being arrested for driving while intoxicated. A report (supplement) was filed.

15-1433, 10:13 AM, Assist Other Agency: An officer assisted the Huntsville Police Department at the scene of a reported Robbery (in progress) at Brook Place Apartments 5020 (Sam Houston Avenue). The offense was not in progress when the officers arrived.

15-1439, 12:01 PM, Sexual Assault: A female student reported that a known suspect sexually assaulted her January 24, 2015 at her on campus residence. An initial report has been completed and an investigation initiated. It should be noted that a suspect has been identified and there is not an ongoing threat to the University community.

15-1443, 1:38 PM, Assault: A student reported that she was assaulted by another student while at the LSC (1802 Avenue I) earlier in the day, at approximately 12:30 PM. An offense report was completed and an investigation is ongoing.

15-1444, 1:57 PM, Burglary of a Vehicle: A student reported that an unknown suspect entered her vehicle, which was parked at Raven Village (2100 block of Avenue I), and took property without consent.

15-1454, 4:40 PM, Crash (minor): A vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle in the 800 block of Bowers Boulevard. There were no injuries and an accident report was filed.

15-1464, 8:45 PM, Theft: Two students reported that their iPhones were stolen while they were playing basketball at the HKC (801 Bowers Boulevard). An offense report was completed.

15-1480, 10:23 PM, Burglary of a Residence: A resident of Belvin-Buchanan Hall reported that sometime over a 5-day time span an unknown suspect entered her room and took property (a laptop computer) without her consent. An offense report was completed.

15-1370, 11:55 AM, Duty Upon Striking: Witness reported observing a driver strike an unattended vehicle with her vehicle then depart the scene without leaving appropriate notice. Subsequent investigation revealed the identity of both the suspect and the victim, and the suspect provided civil damage information.

15-1263, Medical Assist, 2:58 PM:  An officer was dispatched to the Houston Building (1700 University Avenue) to assist with a reported  medical call.  Subsequently, an individual was transported by EMS to Huntsville Memorial Hospital for further evaluation. 
15-1286, Possession of Marijuana, 9:34 PM:  While conducting a traffic stop in the 800 block of 17th Street, the officer determined that the driver (a male university student) was in possession of an open container of alcohol.  Upon further investigation, the officer determined that the driver was also in possession of contraband.  The male driver was arrested and charged with Subject was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

15-1291, Assist Other Agency, 9:54 PM: An officer assisted the Huntsville Police Department with the arrest of a subject who was resisting arrest. A supplement report was filed for Huntsville Police Department’s case.
 
15-1293, Assist Other Agency/Warrant Service, 10:15 PM: An officer arrested an individual in the 2300 block of Bobby K. Marks Drive on outside agency warrants.

*Received a report from a Campus Security Authority (CSA) indicating that they had spoken with a female student who reported that she was sexually assaulted in her on-campus residence by a known male.  At this time the victim has not chosen to seek assistance from the University Police Department.

15-1204, Assist Other Agency/Warrant Service, 9:16 AM. An officer arrested an individual in the 1600 block of Sycamore Avenue on outside agency warrants.

15-1225, Minor Accident, 7:56 PM: Officer responded to the 1600 block of Bobby K. Marks Drive to investigate a minor motor vehicle Accident.  While on scene, the officer determined that an individual backed his vehicle into a parked vehicle. The officer was able to locate the operator of the vehicle and an accident report was completed.

15-1230, Medical Assist, 10:05 PM: An officer responded the HKC (801 Bowers Boulevard) after an individual’s right arm became numb after doing pulls ups. Emergency medical services were summoned to the scene transported the individual to Huntsville Memorial Hospital for evaluation.

15-1156, Criminal Trespass Warning Issued, 3:24 PM:  While providing police services during an athletic event being held in the Johnson Coliseum (1964 Bobby K Marks Drive), a SFA fan was removed from the coliseum for being unruly and using foul language. The individual was issued a “Criminal Trespass Warning” for all SHSU property.

15-1028, Possession of Marijuana: At 12:01 AM, officers responded to a report of a student suspected to be in possession of marijuana at Elliot Hall. The investigation revealed that a student was in possession of both marijuana and paraphernalia. The student was arrested and taken to the Walker County Jail. 15-1049, Damaged Vehicle: At 2:25 PM, an officer responded to a report of a vehicle which had been damaged by a fallen tree limb while parked in the P-23 parking lot (2100 block of Avenue I).
 
15-1077, Burglary of a Residence: At 11:06 PM, officers responded to Lone Star Hall (910 Bearkat Boulevard to speak with several students regarding a burglary. The investigation revealed that an unknown suspect had entered an unlocked room and had taken property without the owner’s consent. An offense report was completed.

15-989, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: At 3:44 PM, an officer responded to investigate a suspicious odor at Bearkat Village (2400 block Montgomery Road). Upon investigation, it was determined that a student was in possession of several items of drug paraphernalia, including items for consumption and distribution. The student was issued a citation, the contraband items were collected, and an offense report was completed. 

January 20, 2014
15-909 - Poss. of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 1:40 AM:  While conducting a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Bobby K. Marks Drive, the officer detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.  During the officer investigations, marijuana was discovered during the vehicle search. The driver was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.  An offense report was completed.

15-914, Crash: At 8:41 AM, an officer responded to a crash in the P-24 parking lot (2000 block Avenue J). A pickup truck headed eastbound collided with a passenger car headed southbound, which then struck parked vehicles. There was no injuries reported.

15-945, Fire Alarm: At 9:38 PM, officers responded to a fire alarm at Spivey House. Source was determined to be overheated grease on the kitchen stove. There were no injuries nor property damage. Huntsville Fire Department responded and ventilated the smoke from the building. It should be noted that it was determined that there were no flames associated with this incident. A report was completed.

15-947, Assist Other Agency: At 9:55 PM, an officer involved in the search for a subject reported to be both armed and suicidal driving a 1999 Ford F-350 located the vehicle being driven northbound on Sam Houston Avenue. The suspect fled when a traffic stop was initiated. Officers from several agencies were involved in the following pursuit, which went south into Montgomery County briefly before heading back into Walker County on SH-75. The suspect claimed at one point that he would not be taken alive and that he had explosives in his vehicle. Officers were able to place spike strips in the vehicle's path as it headed northbound into New Waverly, causing all of the vehicle's tires to deflate. The vehicle pursuit ended several miles north of New Waverly when the suspect rammed through a gate and fled on foot into the woods. The suspect later walked out of the woods and gave himself up. Huntsville Police Department was the primary agency involved, and several SHSUPD officers filed supplemental reports.

15-732, Possession of Marijuana, 1:16 PM: An officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village (2400 block Montgomery Road) in reference to a report of a suspicious odor.  Upon arrival and investigation, it was determined that the occupants of the residence admitted to smoking marijuana and being in possession of a minute amount.  Information was obtained at the scene and a report was completed.  The offense will be referred to the Dean of Students’ Office and the Department of Residence Life for Judicial Review.

15-784, Possession of Marijuana, 1:10 AM: An officer was dispatched to Estill Hall (1002 16th Street) in reference to a reported suspicious odor. Upon arrival and investigation, the officer arrested a female non-student with the offenses of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Additionally, the other females in the room were issued citations for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol. An offense report was completed.

15-788, Public Intoxication Minor, 3:15 AM: An underage student was found in Lone Star Hall lobby (910 Bearkat Boulevard) who was severely intoxicated. Ultimately, the student was admitted to Huntsville Memorial Hospital for further evaluation. A report was filed and will be sent to the Department of Residence Life and the Dean of Students of Office for a Judicial Review of policy violations.

15-798, AOA Warrant Service, 10:53 AM: An officer located subject with an outstanding warrant at 5050 Sam Houston Avenue. The individual was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail.

15-803, AOA Warrant Service, 2:48 PM: An officer located subject with outstanding warrant at 1401 14th Street.  The individual was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail.

15-691, 12:12 AM, Assist Outside Agency/HPD: Officers responded to the Jolly Fox, located at 2504 Sam Houston Avenue, to assist the Huntsville Police Department with an uncooperative intoxicated subject. The Huntsville Police Department took the subject into custody for “Resisting Arrest” and “Public Intoxication”.

15-704, 2:26 AM, Assault: Family Violence / Terroristic Threat: Family Member: An officer was dispatched to Vick House, located at 1929 Avenue I, in reference to an “Assault: Famly Violence” report. A resident reported she was assaulted by her roommate that arrived to retrieve some property. While the roommate was present, she got into a verbal argument with the complainant that escalated to a physical altercation. When asked, the complainant expressed she wished to file a formal criminal complaint and signed a “Prosecution” Form. Arrest warrants for “Assault: Causes Bodily Injury” – Family Member and “Terroristic Threat: Family Member”; both Class “A” Misdemeanors will be sought as a result.

15-709, AOA Warrant Service, 8:16 AM: While conducting an off-campus follow-up investigation in the 2700 block of 11th Street, the officer determined that the female he was interviewing was wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest.  The female was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail.

15-722, Duty Upon Striking, 11:31 AM: Officer met with complainant who reported that their vehicle was damaged while unattended in the P24 lot (2000 block of Avenue J). An offense report was completed.

15-729, Medical Assist, 1:02 PM: The University Police Department received a report of an individual at Raven Nest Golf Course (457 IH-45 South) was struck by golf ball and declined further medical assistance.

15-581, 12:16 AM, Failure to Identify: An officer initiated a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Sam Houston Avenue. During the contact, the driver provided a false name when asked multiple times to identify himself. The subject then finally provided his correct identifying information. Subsequently, the individual was taken into custody and transported to the Walker County Jail. At the jail, the subject was charged with “Failure to Identify”, a Class “B” Misdemeanor offense.

15-622, 11:53 AM, Duty Upon Striking: An officer was dispatched to the University Police Department, located at 2424 Sam Houston Avenue, in reference to a “Duty Upon Striking” report. A student reported that their vehicle was damaged while parked in the P36 parking lot, located in the 1600 block of Avenue J, on January 13th between 10:00 PM and January 14th at 4:00 PM. The complainant signed a “Non-Prosecution” form indicating they did not wish to file a formal criminal complaint.

15-647, 3:32 PM, Assist Outside Agency/Warrant Service: An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Sycamore Avenue. A computerized inquiry into the driver’s Texas driver’s license revealed two active arrest warrants issued by the Huntsville Municipal Court. Subsequently, the driver was taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, booked on the aforementioned warrants.

15-565, 8:52 PM, Assist Outside Agency/HPD: An officer responded to the 900 block of Trinity Cut-Off in reference to assist with a female search by request of the Huntsville Police Department. The subject was taken into custody by the Huntsville Police Department for “Driving While Intoxicated.”

15-580, 11:57 PM, Assist Outside Agency/Warrant Service: An officer initiated a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue and determined that the driver was wanted on two active arrest warrants issued by the Huntsville Municipal Court. Subsequently, the subject was taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, booked on the aforementioned warrants and remanded into the custody of the jail staff.

15-476, 2:05 PM, Credit/Debit Card Abuse: An officer was dispatched to the University Police Department to meet with a student who reported several unauthorized transactions on her Bearkat One Card.  The subject filed an offense report.

15-493, 10:05 PM, Missing Person: An officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village (1600 Sam Houston Avenue) in reference to a report of a missing student.  The parents of the student reported that they were unable to reach their son via telephone and were concerned for his welfare.  On January 14, 2014, the male student in question was located in another city.  The parents were contacted and informed of the situation.

15-387, Medical Assist, 8:20 AM:  An officer was dispatched to the Estill Building (1903 University Avenue) in reference to an individual who slipped and fell to the ground inside the building.

15-381, Damaged University Property, 8:27 PM:  A water pump motor in a mechanical room of the Coliseum (1964 Bobby K Marks Drive) malfunctioned and caused water in the respective fittings to leak.  HVAC workers were summoned to the scene who disconnected the power supply to the pump and rerouted water away.  Images of the damage were taking and were attached to a completed incident report.

15-307, Assist Other Agency, 12:25 PM:  An individual was arrested at the Public Safety Services Parking Office after it was determined that the individual had five outstanding warrants of arrest.  The individual was transported to the Walker County Jail.

15-212, Criminal Mischief:  At 11:08 AM, an officer took a report of criminal mischief.  A 2006 Honda four door, parked in the P-24 parking lot (2000 block of Avenue J), received damage to the rear window by unknown means.  An offense report was completed.

15-177, Credit Card/Debit Card Abuse, 3:41 PM:  An employee with the Biology Department reported finding fraudulent charges on their department's purchasing credit card.  The card was properly secured when the charges were incurred.  An offense report was completed.

15-145, Damaged University Property, 11:13 PM:  An officer observed a damaged light post on the west side of Academic Building I, located at 1803 Avenue I.  The pole appears to have been struck by a large object.  A report was completed.

15-691, 12:12 AM, Assist Outside Agency/HPD: Officers responded to the Jolly Fox, located at 2504 Sam Houston Avenue, to assist the Huntsville Police Department with an uncooperative intoxicated subject. The Huntsville Police Department took the subject into custody for “Resisting Arrest” and “Public Intoxication”.

15-704, 2:26 AM, Assault: Family Violence / Terroristic Threat: Family Member: An officer was dispatched to Vick House, located at 1929 Avenue I, in reference to an “Assault: Famly Violence” report. A resident reported she was assaulted by her roommate that arrived to retrieve some property. While the roommate was present, she got into a verbal argument with the complainant that escalated to a physical altercation. When asked, the complainant expressed she wished to file a formal criminal complaint and signed a “Prosecution” Form. Arrest warrants for “Assault: Causes Bodily Injury” – Family Member and “Terroristic Threat: Family Member”; both Class “A” Misdemeanors will be sought as a result.

15-1203, Assist Other Agency/Warrant Service, 8:12 AM: An officer arrested an individual at 1600 Sam Houston Avenue on outside
agency warrants.

15-1204, Assist Other Agency/Warrant Service, 9:16 AM. An officer arrested an individual at 1600 Sam Houston Avenue on outside
agency warrants.

15-1225, Minor Accident, 7:56 PM: Officer responded to the 1600 block of Bobby K. Marks Drive to investigate a minor motor vehicle
Accident.  While on scene, the officer determined that an individual backed his vehicle into a parked vehicle. The officer was able to
locate the operator of the vehicle and an accident report was completed.

15-1230, Medical Assist, 10:05 PM: An officer responded the HKC (801 Bowers Boulevard) after an individual’s right arm became numb
after doing pulls ups. Emergency medical services were summoned to the scene transported the individual to Huntsville Memorial Hospital for evaluation.

15-1663, 1:18 p.m., Medical Assist – Officer was dispatched to the P5 parking lot, located in the 1600 block of Bobby K. Marks Drive, in reference to a "Medical Assist" report. During the investigation it was determined the incident location was in the area of the P4 parking lot, located at 1640 Bobby K. Marks Drive. A student reported she injured herself while walking by losing her balance and falling to the ground. The Walker County Emergency Medical services was summoned and the subject refused transport. A report was filed.15-1678, 5:58 p.m., Medical Assist – Officer responded to the P23 parking lot, located in the 2100 block of Avenue I, in reference to "Medical Assist" report. A student reported she injured herself, felt dizzy and light headed after having missed stepped and falling. The Walker County Medical Services was summoned it was determined the subject did not need to be transported. A report was filed.15-1688, 10:17 p.m., Assist Outside Agency/Warrant Service, Driving While License Suspended/Invalid, Criminal Trespass Warning Issued – Officer initiated a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Bobby K. Marks Drive. A computerized inquiry into the driver’s Texas driver’s licenses revealed three active arrest warrants issued by the Huntsville Municipal Court. Additionally, the subjects Texas driver’s license revealed two active suspensions. Subsequently, the subject was taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, booked on the aforementioned warrants and charged with "Driving While License Suspended/Invalid. A report was filed.15-1689, 10:27 p.m., Theft – Officer was dispatched to the Criminal Justice Center TDCJ Dorms, located at 816 17th Street, in reference to a "Theft" report. A TDCJ cadet stated her wallet was taken from her room without her consent by an unknown suspect. A report was filed.15-1692, 10:58 p.m., Duty Upon Striking – Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village, located at 2400 Montgomery Road, in reference to a "Duty Upon Striking" report. A student reported her vehicle was damaged while parked in the parking lot between 9:20 PM and 10:45 PM by an unknown vehicle. A report was filed.

1500002435 CTW Issued. Criminal Trespass Warning issued to non-student following a disturbance outside Belvin-Buchanan Hall. A

report was filed.

1500002380 Damage to University Property. Officer observed damage to the fenceline between Bearkat Village and University Club

Apartments. A report was filed.

15-3016, Medical Assist, 6:06 PM: An officer responded to the 2000 block of Avenue J in reference to a female subject who was reported to have blacked out and hit her head on the counter at the South Paw Dining Facility. Subsequently, the female was transported by ambulance to Huntsville Memorial Hospital for further evaluation.

15-3017, Medical Assist, 6:37 PM: An officer responded to the HKC (801 Bowers Boulevard) to assist with a reported injury. The male was transported by ambulance to Huntsville Memorial Hospital for further evaluation.

15-3033, Welfare Concern, 11:26 PM: An officer met with a complainant at Lone Star Hall (910 Bearkat Boulevard) in reference to a report that a student was concerned for the welfare of his roommate. Officer were able to make contact with the roommate who advised that he was not having any issues. The student was informed of University resources available if needed.

15-3302, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 11:58 AM: A male subject was stopped for a traffic violation in the 2000 block of Bobby K.
Marks Drive.  During the stop, contraband was located and the driver was subsequently arrested for "Possession of Drug
Paraphernalia."

15-3666, Driving Under the Influence – Minor, 12:38 AM: An officer observed a vehicle strike another vehicle while leaving a parking lot. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the 1600 block of Sam Houston Avenue. During the investigation, it was determined that the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage prior to driving the vehicle and also had alcohol present in the vehicle. The driver was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a Minor, Minor in Possession of Alcohol and also cited for Open Container. The passenger was cited for Minor in Consumption of Alcohol and released from the scene to a sober individual. An offense report was completed.

1500004082, Criminal Trespass Warning Issued, 3:10 p.m. – A male subject was reported to be urinating in the grass on campus. After contact with the subject was made by the officer, a "Criminal Trespass Warning" was issued to the subject due to the incident and the subject’s criminal history record. The subject was not a student. A report was filed.

15-5398, 5:48 AMN, Found Property: A student reported that he observed a small Ziploc bag containing
marijuana on the ground, close to his room door, at Sam Houston Village (1600 Sam Houston Avenue). The
property was retrieved and a report was filed.


15-5422, 1:52 PM, Assault (Family Violence): A female student was assaulted by her former boyfriend (also a student) outside of
Rachel Jackson House (1600 block Avenue I). Injury was minor and the victim declined prosecution. A copy of the report will be
forwarded to the Dean of Students’ Office for judicial Review

15-6577, 6:01 PM, Violation of Protective Order (Woodlands Campus): A student at The Woodlands Campus (3380 College Park)
alerted an on-duty officer of a situation between her and a student from Lone Star College. The investigation revealed that the other student was in violation of a protective order obtained by the complainant. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery

County Jail.

15-6860, 8:29 AM, Duty Upon Striking: An officer was dispatched to the University Police Department, located at 2424 Sam Houston Avenue, in reference to a “Duty Upon Striking” report. A student reported her vehicle was damaged while between 7:00 a.m. and 7:35 a.m., while parked in the P15 parking lot (located at 500 Bowers Boulevard). When asked, the subject stated a white Chevrolet pick-up parked next to her was possibly the suspect vehicle.

15-6878, 12:00 PM, Graffiti: Officer was dispatched to the Lee Drain Building, located at 1900 Avenue I, in reference to a “Graffiti” report. A subject reported several areas of graffiti in the southeast and southwest stairwells. A report was filed.

15-6917, 10:28 PM, Damage to University Property: An officer observed a damaged bollard on the northwest side of the CHSS Building, located at 1901 Avenue I. The damages consisted of two large dents with several scrapes, pink transfer paint from an unknown vehicle and the bollard leaning from the impact.

15-6926, 11:24 PM, Criminal Mischief: An officer observed a vandalized parking directional sign at the Sam Houston Parking Garage, located at 1730 Avenue I. An unknown suspect engraved the letters “MAR” and several lines in the middle of the sign.
