Doctoral Student Recognized by National Organization for Research

Kristina Block, a Sam Houston State University College of Criminal Justice (SHSU CJ) doctoral student, was named the 2023 recipient of the Rolf Loeber Student Innovation Award by the American Society of Criminology’s (ASC) Division of Biopsychosocial Criminology. The accolade recognizes an exceptional paper written by a current graduate student in the biopsychosocial criminology field.

Grant Funding Bolsters Family Residency Partnership

Operating in a medically underserved and rural-population-designated-area, Huntsville Memorial Hospital (HMH) received a $5.7 million Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA) grant to fund the newly launched Family Medicine Residency program at the Huntsville Rural Health Clinic (HRHC) in collaboration with Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (SHSU-COM).
