Welcome to the TLC!
Let's Advance the Legacy of Teaching Together.
We serve instructors
Great teaching doesn’t happen in isolation. The TLC connects you with a community of instructors who are exploring new strategies, sharing ideas, and working together to improve student learning through research, programs, funding, and collaboration. We can help you take your teaching to the next level.
We serve the institution
As a student-centered institution, SHSU prioritizes innovative, high-quality learning experiences. Leadership support for instructor participation in TLC programs ensures that teaching practices remain evidence-based, responsive, and aligned with our mission of student success.
We serve the community
We’re looking to collaborate. The TLC at SHSU partners with teaching centers and instructors to advance the scholarship of teaching and learning, tackle emerging challenges in higher education, and create opportunities to connect—through research collaborations, shared programs, and EngageED: A Conference on Effective Teaching.
