Trainer: Jim Napolitano

James F. Napolitano has vast domestic and international experience in government and corporate security.  Prior to founding Universal Safety & Security Solutions, where he serves as President, Mr. Napolitano most recently served as the Advanced Security Specialist for Marathon Oil responsible for domestic and international security operations including Security Vulnerability Assessments, Voluntary Principles, Workplace Violence Mitigation and Employee Safety.  He was instrumental in securing Worldwide Exploration and Drilling sites in volatile locations such as Iraq.

Prior to entering the private sector, Mr. Napolitano served over 22 years as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service.  He served in various capacities including protection for four Presidents and numerous visiting Heads of State. His duties included security assessments, investigations and threat assessments throughout the world including development of security protocols and logistics for President Bush’s Western White House. He also served four years as a member of the elite Counter Assault Team (CAT).

Additionally, Mr. Napolitano was an instructor for the Secret Service with specialties in Control Tactics, Firearms, Emergency Medicine, Physical Fitness and Rescue Swimming. Other duties included conducting counterfeiting, white collar crime and child pornography investigations domestically and internationally.  Mr. Napolitano worked numerous protective intelligence cases involving direct threats against The President of the United States. Prior to his career with the Secret Service, Mr. Napolitano was a Montgomery County Sheriff’s sergeant and has a reserve commission.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston. Mr. Napolitano is licensed by the State of Texas Private Security Bureau as a Personal Protection Officer, Commissioned Security Officer, Private Investigator and Level III & IV Instructor.  He is also licensed as a Concealed Handgun Instructor, and is currently serving as the Chief of Police for Montgomery, Texas.
