Rachel Mary Prather Allen Family and Consumer Sciences Endowed Scholarship — Established by Dr. Mattie Bea Medford in March 2006 in honor of her sister, Rachel Mary Prather Allen, an alumna of the department, who graduated in 1937. Recipients must be a full-time junior, senior or graduate student majoring in one of the programs in Family and Consumer Sciences and demonstrate financial need. GPA requirement 3.0 overall and in their major.

Family and Consumer Sciences Memorial Scholarship — established in July 1975 to enable students to further their education in Family and Consumer Sciences.  Recipients are chosen by the Family and Consumer Sciences Scholarship Selection Committee.  Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours per semester and junior standing.  Recipients must demonstrate good character.

Margie Crawford Hardy Family & Consumer Sciences Scholarship -  Recipient must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in good standing; majoring in family and consumer sciences; have satisfactorily completed a minimum of 60 undergraduate hours in the semester the scholarship is to be disbursed.  GPA of 3.00 is required. 

Keener Family Scholarship in Family and Consumer Sciences — established by Tina and David Keener in 2010.  Awarded to undergraduate students majoring in a program with Family and Consumer Sciences with at least 64 hours credit and having a minimum overall GPA of 3.3.

Lynch Family Endowed Scholarship — established in September 1983 by General and Mrs. William R. Lynch, Jr., to provide one or more scholarships to undergraduate students enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours per semester, junior standing, GPA of 3.0 in major and overall, and in good standing at Sam Houston State University furthering their education in Family and Consumer Sciences.  Recipients will be selected by the Family and Consumer Sciences Scholarship Committee.

Lena Campbell Mathis Endowed Scholarship - established June 2017, in memory of Lena Winship (Campbell) Mathis. A recipient must (1) be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in a minimum of 6 hours; (2) in good standing and enrolled at Sam Houston State University; (3) have declared a major or minor in Food Science and Nutrition; and (4) have and maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.0. Preference will be given to students that wish to obtain a teacher certification in secondary education but is not necessary.

Fray Stallings Wells Scholarship  —  established in December 1985 by J. Roy Wells in memory of Fray S. Wells for undergraduate students enrolled in Family and Consumer Sciences.  A GPA of 2.85 is required.  Awards are made on an annual basis but are renewable.  The selection of the recipient shall be based on character, scholarship, potential in FCS and financial need.   The recipient must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 hours per semester and a resident of Texas eligible to pay resident tuition.  Priority given to FCS certification majors then Fashion Merchandising majors.
