would like to learn more about the world of criminal justice.  The purpose of thisprogram is tointroduce high school students ages 15-17 to the diversity of the criminal justice profession as well as provide an opportunity for students to meet professionals currently employed in the criminal justice field. Camp activities have included introductions to forensic science, local, state and federal law enforcement, and crime scene investigation. Past camp speakers have included the DEA, U.S. Marshals, FBI, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Homeland Security, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Montgomery County heriff's Office, and Southeast Texas Applied Forensic Science Facility.
  • College of Criminal Justice Career Fair: The Sam Houston State University College of Criminal Justice,

The Career Fair is designed to be a cost-effective recruiting event for agencies to promote their employment opportunities to a diverse and well-prepared pool of candidates who are eager to succeed in the criminal justice profession and a one-stop shop for career opportunities for our undergraduates.

  • Real Talk w/CJ: Four to five times each semester the College of Criminal Justice hosts speakers
from local, state, and federal agencies within criminal justice to come and speak to our students about career paths in an informal setting. These sessions are held in our CJava café and offer our undergraduate students a unique opportunity to hear from practitioners in the field and to obtain advice on employment and careers.
