Shuangyue "Shaun" Zhang, Ph.D.

Dr. Shaun Zhang is a Professor of Communication Studies at Sam Houston State University. He received his M.A. in Communication from Kent State University, and a Ph.D. in Communication from The Ohio State University.

Shaun's research interests are in the area of interpersonal communication, intercultural communication, and computer-mediated communication. His articles have appeared in Communication Monographs, Communication Research, Personal Relationships, Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology, Health Communication, Asian Journal of Social Psychology, Western Journal of Communication, International Journal of Intercultural Relations, Journal of Comparative Family Studies, Communication Reports, and Communication Research Reports. He also served on the Editorial Board of Journal of Applied Communication Research and Journal of Social and Personal Relationships. He teaches courses in interpersonal communication, introduction to communication and research, intercultural communication, interpersonal conflict, research methods, statistics, and health communication at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
