MFA Spring Thesis Concerts: Scott and Meents

Two dance concerts featuring thesis choreography by Rachel Meents and Hannah Scott. Scott will present VERDICT! on Thursday – Friday, February 20-21, 2020 in the PAC Dance Theater @ 8 PM - first come, first serve for seating. Meents will present Travel Lightly on February 22, 2020 at The Wynne Home Arts Center – limited availability, 5:00 Pm, 6:00 PM, and 7:00 PM. Call 936-294-1875 to reserve tickets for Travel Lightly. Admission is free for both concerts.

This production is organized through the dance honor society Chi Tau Epsilon and is a showcase of dance works by undergraduate students fully curated and produced by the students themselves.

Masters of Dance Graduate Concert

This dance concert showcases a collection of diverse dance works choreographed and produced by the graduate student organization Masters of Dance.

Senior Studio

This evening of dance features the choreographic capstone works of the senior class. This presentation is one of the requirements of the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance. Programming will vary each evening.

Senior Showcase and Department of Dance Awards Ceremony

The BFA in Dance senior class will share choreographic solos as a senior capstone performance/choreographic project that is created as part of the Career Resources in Dance course. This celebratory performance is followed by a Department of Dance Awards Ceremony acknowledging student achievement for the 2019-20 academic year.

Admission is free.

Dance Spectrum in Concert

Dance Spectrum provides dance majors with an opportunity to hone their craft by working with guest artists and dance faculty on challenging repertory in an atmosphere that is professional in nature.
