MAJ Christopher (Cody) Holmes

CPT Christopher (Cody) HolmesMajor Holmes hails from Port Arthur, Texas and enlisted in the Army in 1998. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Military Police Academy, Officer Candidate School, Basic Officer Leader Course I and II, Military Police Captain’s Career Course, Air Assault School, Rappel Master Course, First Army OC/T Academy, Antiterrorism Officer Basic Course, Operations Security Program Manager Level II Course, Security Managers Training Course, Counter-IED Master Trainer Course, and Primary Leadership Development Course.

MAJ Holmes has served in various leadership positions throughout his career. His Assignments include Assistant Relief Commander (Tomb of the Unknown Soldier), Fort Myer, VA; Platoon Leader and Executive Officer for the 712th Military Police Company, Houston, TX; Squadron Security Officer for 3/124 CAV, Camp Lemmonier, Djibouti; Team Chief for 3/289 CSSB, Beaumont, TX; S2 OIC/Security Manager and S1 OIC for the 3/289 CSSB, Fort Hood, TX; and JMESL Manager for the 75th TC, Fort Hood, TX. MAJ Holmes currently serves as the Senior Assistant Professor of Military Science at Sam Houston State University ROTC, Huntsville, TX.

MAJ Holmes earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from Lamar University. He also earned his Master of Arts in Business and Organizational Security Management from Webster University, graduating with honors with an overall 4.0 GPA. He is also a graduate of the Lamar Institute of Technology Regional Police Academy.

His awards and decorations include the Tomb Guard Identification Badge, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with 3 OLC, Navy Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal with 6 OLC, the Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/ M Device, and the German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency (Grade III – Gold).
