Housing

All students will stay on campus and will room with other students participating in the summer dance intensive unless they choose the Single Room Occupancy choice. ALL STUDENTS are required to attend all scheduled classes throughout the day and evening, in addition to their rehearsals.

Students will be housed at the brand new university dorm Piney Woods Hall, a short walk from the Gaertner Performing Arts Center and will be chaperoned by Summer Dance Intensive counselors. There will also be a University Residence Assistant on duty 24hrs a day. The complex features double occupancy rooms with an in-room microwave, refrigerator and suite baths with enhanced privacy. The building also has a Community Learning Center with state-of-the-art technology (with computer lab) reserved for residents. Both indoor and outdoor community space is available for group activities. Please note, students will need to provide their own linens and toiletries.

Meals

All meals will be provided through Old Main Market, which is also within proximity and walking distance from the Gaertner Center. At this all-you-care-to-eat dining facility located on the north end of campus, diners are put in the action as they interact with the chefs who are preparing the food. No longer is the kitchen in the back, behind closed doors. Instead, all of the cooking and preparing of the food is done right before you in unique and independent dining stations.
