Official transcripts cannot be released if there is a hold on your student account.
Below are common types of holds that may prevent transcript release:
- Past due balances, such as those related to unpaid tuition, fees, or accounts sent to collections.
- Student life holds, such as disciplinary actions or bookstore fees.
- Property holds, such as items not returned to departments like the Disability Office or Project Connect.
- Financial aid holds, such as those related to exit counseling, grant overpayments, or Perkins Loan holds.
- Registrar holds, such as incomplete graduation requirements or bounced check fees.
- Residence life holds, such as those related to housing or dorm issues.
- International fee holds, such as unpaid fees for new international students.
We no longer accept transcript orders by proxy or by mail.
In-person orders can be placed in the Office of the Registrar, which is located at 1903 University Avenue Estill building, Suite 331, Huntsville, TX 77340 .
In-person orders will be charged $10 per transcript.
All transcripts at SHSU are official, so unofficial transcripts cannot be ordered. However, students without holds can view and print their unofficial transcript through MySam.
To print yours, follow the steps in this guide (current students only) or email registrar@shsu.edu to request a copy.
Note: If you attended SHSU in 2011 or earlier, you must email graduationteam@shsu.edu to get your unofficial transcript.
