As the fall 2025 semester came to a close, Kendall Gragert, associate director of Sam Houston State University’s Elliott T. Bowers Honors College, and the 2025-2026 cohort of Sam Houston Honors Scholars partnered with the Sundale Senior Living Facility to facilitate meaningful and holiday-themed events for the residents.
Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine Dean Thomas J. Mohr, DO, MACOI, has been named a Master Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists, one of the highest honors bestowed by the organization.
Six SHSU-COM student doctors in the class of 2026 recently learned where they will complete their residency training, months before their classmates receive results in March. Residency is the next stage of medical training after graduation, where new physicians care for patients under supervision while specializing in a chosen field.
