My name is Katie Statlander. I am the lead teacher for Sam Houston Charter School inside Greengate Academy. I have a long history with Greengate Academy and their staff, we are literally family. Denise Statlander is my mother and Ellen Fincham is my God Mother. I have a loving fiancé whom I have been with for the last 4 years. We have 2 little fur babies that are our pride and joy. I graduated from the University of Houston and have lived in either Spring or Houston my whole life.
This is my 7th year teaching either Kindergarten or 1st Grade. I love teaching with SHSU Charter School. As a teacher, we are able to use creative and out of the box techniques to teach our students. I love being able to incorporate ipads in our students learning. My class in particular enjoys being able to share their progress with their parents through the Seesaw App.
