Huntsville, Texas

Sam Houston's gravesiteHuntsville is located in the beautiful East Texas Piney Woods.  It is a small community with easy access to larger Texas cities like Houston, Galveston, and San Antonio.

Huntsville has several activities such as scuba diving, the State Park, Golf, the Prison Museum, and our famous statue of Sam Houston, an American Hero.

If you want to venture away from Huntsville, The Woodlands is 41 miles to the south of Huntsville.  In The Woodlands, you can explore the Waterway and listen to live music.

Houston is 71 miles south of Huntsville.  There is plenty to visit in Houston, Museums, Sports, the Zoo, and NASA.

To visit the beaches, Galveston is further south.  There is surfing and theme parks like Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, and the Pier.

San Antonio is 218 miles west of Huntsville, but worth the drive.  Explore the River Walk, Zoo, Sea World, and the Alamo.  Also, there are several summer festivals.
