You are about to open an online application for admission to SHSU through ApplyTexas.org.

What is the ApplyTexas online application?
The ApplyTexas application is the general online college application used to apply to Sam Houston State University and any other Texas State Universities. You will create a username and password with ApplyTexas to begin your application.
What information do I need for the application?
For all applicants:
High School Coursework: The dates on which you began and ended (or will end) your high school career.
Employment Information: Employment information for the past two years, including an address for the employer (either your own) or that of your parents/legal guardians (if you claim in-state residency based on their employment).

For freshmen applicants:
Senior-Year Coursework: The exact titles and credit values of high school courses you are taking and will be taking during your senior year (also called your senior-year course schedule).

For transfer, readmission and graduate students:
College Credit: The names, numbers, and credit values of college courses you are taking or will be taking before enrolling at SHSU and the dates on which you began and ended any previous college or university attendance.

For applicants to online degree programs:
Online undergraduate or graduate students apply to the university in the same way as students pursuing a degree in a face-to-face program.
