GCJD Wants Students to Vote

Turbo Vote

GCJD wanted SHSU students to vote and took steps to make it easier. GCJD teamed up with the center for community engagement to offer students a free membership on TurboVote. When students signed up, TurboVote kept track of local and national elections and sent students texts or email reminders. It also helped them register, update their registration, or request an absentee ballot. The company also mailed students paper copies of their completed forms, with stamped, addressed envelopes for local election officials.

Students were urged to go to turbovote.org and sign up. GCJD believes that there is no better way to influence our country's future than with a vote.
