In an ongoing effort to work across academic disciplines and become as involved as possible in student life, GCJD participated in the Bearkat Read to Succeed Program (BRTS). GCJD students and faculty put together a presentation focusing on effective communication, using the novel "Ready, Player One" as a backdrop. The presentation was part of a weeklong series of events dedicated to helping students apply what they read to classwork, professional development, and daily life. GCJD students put together skits to effectively illustrate the information presented in the session and to convey it in relatable terms. GCJD staff will remain active in BRTS, and is currently on a committee to choose the book students will read next academic year.
