My name is Stacy Guthrie and I have been an elementary teacher for 27 years now. It only seems like yesterday that I started, but things have changed a lot during my time. Every day is different in my role as a Language Arts teacher and it is never boring! I love teaching, challenging, and supporting children to be the best they can be. We have a great team of teachers and support staff at Sam Houston State University Charter School and I think the children are very lucky to be in such a positive environment. As many of you know, I am passionate about learning, and I feel blessed to continue to teach alongside dedicated teachers who model best practices for children. I also really value our fantastic parents and administrators for giving great support to what we do. And finally, when I am not at school…I enjoy spending time with my family.
