Dance lecturer Rasika Borse transforms her lifelong passion for movement into global connection through her companies, Bollywood Signature and RB Dance. Blending classical Indian dance with jazz and ballet, Borse fosters artistic expression and community across borders—empowering students and performers to find connection through rhythm, culture, and collaboration.
The 2023–24 CAM Legacy Awards celebrate three remarkable honorees whose artistry and service continue to shape Sam Houston State University. Sculptor David Adickes, creator of Huntsville’s Sam Houston statue, and longtime arts supporters Paul and Joan Culp are recognized for their enduring contributions that have enriched SHSU’s cultural and creative legacy for generations.
Lecturer and theatre artist Dain Geist premiered his dark comedy Seven Assassins Walk Into a Bar at Houston’s Main Street Theatre, exploring morality and camaraderie through sharp wit and inventive storytelling. The production united SHSU faculty, alumni, and students behind the scenes—demonstrating the university’s creative reach and spirit of collaboration within the Houston arts community.
