Discover Your Strengths
Sam Houston State University invites students to identify their innate talents and apply them toward leadership and personal growth. Before participating, students complete the CliftonStrengths® assessment to reveal their Top 5 Themes of Talent, then attend a guided session where they learn to interpret these strengths in academic, professional and personal settings. The experience includes discussing how strengths help or hinder behaviors, planning how to use strengths more intentionally, and developing awareness of how they mesh with others’ strengths. The sessions are free for enrolled students (with registration required two business days in advance), and participants who fail to attend after registering may be asked to reimburse the cost of the assessment.
