SHREC ONMM3 Plus One Advanced Training Program

Welcome to a community-based, university-backed advanced training program through the Sam Houston Regional Education Consortium (SHREC), with clinical training based at SHSU Physicians in Conroe and support from Sam Houston State University.

Designed for physicians who have completed an accredited residency and have knowledge and experience in osteopathic principles and techniques, this 12-month program prepares graduates for eligibility for NMM/OMM board certification.

Located just north of Houston, Conroe offers a fast-growing community, excellent quality of life, and convenient access to one of the nation’s largest medical markets.

HANDS-ON CURRICULUM & TRAINING

This one-year ONMM3 Plus One Advanced Training Program is structured to provide meaningful clinical experience and advanced osteopathic education.

Training includes:

  • Primary training site at SHSU Physicians in Conroe
  • Inpatient service rotations at HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe
  • Sports medicine rotation opportunities with SHSU Athletics
  • Weekly didactics, journal review, case conferences, and ultrasound/procedure exposure
  • Teaching opportunities with medical students and residents
  • Career mentorship for private practice, faculty, and hospital-based pathways
