Application Requirements

Explore the requirements for applying to Sam Houston State University, including the specific requirements for applying as a Freshmen, Transfer, Returning, Graduate, International, SamPoly, College of Osteopathic Medicine, or Criminal Justice BAAS student.

• Incoming Freshman

  You’ll be starting your first year of study at the college level, whether you’re a current high school senior or not.

• Transfer Student

  You’ve earned 12 or more credit hours at another institution at the undergraduate level.

• Graduate Student

  You’re continuing your studies after receiving a bachelor’s degree, such as for a master’s degree or doctorate.
