SHSU Honors students can view their new student checklist and find information on Honors housing, advising, and orientation.

New Honors Student Checklist 

  • Submit Honors Participation Agreement - required
  • Be advised by the Sam Center or Academic Department - required
  • Complete Honors advising - required
  • Attend Honors orientation during the first week of class – required
  • Sign up for Honors housing – optional
  • Attend Welcome Retreat – optional

  • SHSU Honors students must complete a participation agreement to finalize their Honors admission.
