Help Your Student Prepare for SHSU
Once your student is accepted, the excitement really begins. Here’s how to help them complete the enrollment steps and transition into life at SHSU.
Your student will need to activate their SHSU account to access email, MySam, and important updates.
Make sure your student’s meningitis record and final transcripts are submitted on time.
Encourage your student to complete the housing application early to secure their preferred residence hall.
Orientation gives you an inside look at campus life and helps you connect with staff and other Bearkat families.
Confirm FAFSA submission, review awards, and finalize payment plans or scholarships.
Help your student prepare with packing lists, check-in times, and first-week tips.
