What is dual credit?
Dual credit is the common term used when a high school student registers for a college course and receives credit for that course from both the college and the high school. High school students (9-12 grade) enrolled in our partner schools may be eligible to earn credit toward high school graduation by completing courses through SHSU's dual credit programs.
Courses and program options vary by school district, so students should work with their high school counselor to confirm available courses, eligibility, deadlines, and next steps.
