Paper Prizes

Criteria for Paper Prizes

$100 will be awarded to each Sam Houston State University contributing author of a published paper.  For consideration, the following conditions must be met:

• The submission must be a full citation with DOI, author's email, which Teaching & Learning Center (TLC) program sponsored the paper, and a link to the publication. The journal submission must show the funding support as the TLC, and acknowledge the TLC program that inspired it.
• Published papers will be featured on the TLC website as well as on the Research & Assessments page of the external website.
• An award for best paper submitted will be $1000 for the best paper to be shared amongst the authoring team. This prize will be announced at the annual conference: EngageEd: A Conference on Effective Teaching, held each spring. [This award will only be made if enough papers are submitted to be competitive.] The Best Paper award winner will be jointly decided by the TLC and its Advisory Committee.
