The Center for Law, Engagement, And Politics (LEAP) offers unique learning opportunities related to the fine arts, history, civil rights, literature and, in particular, law, engagement, and politics. Its mission is to promote civic leadership skills by providing educational and professional experiences across all disciplines through programming, volunteerism, experiential learning, and travel. The Center also offers pre-law advising and limited academic advising.
As part of this statewide effort, programs affiliated with the Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine have been awarded $2,915,170 over the next two years through the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s Graduate Medical Education Expansion Program.
