My story, much like many others, starts with the desire to go to college. I was unsure of what university to go to but after much research, I knew SHSU was the right place for me! The community, traditions, and support from peers and professors is such a refreshing and reassuring experience! By going to SHSU I've grown in so many facets of my life. Not only have I've grown from going to Sam but I've also gained life long friendships and relationships within the campus. I can also attribute my academic success to having such wonderful professors, who are dedicated to the students. Professors such as Dr. Jeffrey Gardner who helped me create well written and meaningful papers, Dr.  Mary Scherer, whose Social Inequality course helped me look at things with an open mind and willingness to learn, or Dr. TzeLi Hsu, a professor who practices what he preaches, he put time into his classes and is always willing to help. My time at SHSU has been nothing short of a blessing, every experience, course, and interaction has helped build me into the person I am today. All the experience and opportunities that SHSU has afforded me will not only help me achieve great things academically but also professionally. I am so glad to be a Bearkat!
