Additional Opportunities
SHSU Art students can gain valuable experience showcasing their work through exhibitions in the student Satellite Gallery and as part of various senior exhibitions in the University Art Gallery. These opportunities allow students to present their creative work in professional settings while building confidence and a strong artistic portfolio.
Each spring, SHSU Art organizes a trip to New York City, giving students the chance to immerse themselves in one of the world’s most vibrant art scenes. Over several days, students visit renowned museums, galleries, and cultural landmarks, while also experiencing the city’s rich history and diverse neighborhoods.
