SamPoly1.jpgSam Houston State University (SHSU) has announced that registration is now open for its newest academic college, the SHSU Polytechnic College, known as SamPoly.

Set to commence classes in Fall 2025, SamPoly offers flexible, fully online programs designed to equip students with practical, workforce-ready skills in high-demand industries. Additionally, a new opportunity allows eligible SamPoly students to apply for a $500 scholarship to support their education.

SamPoly provides Level I and Level II certificates, as well as applied associate degrees, in fields such as Practical AI and Intelligent Automation, Paralegal Studies, and Computer User Support. These programs are crafted for both recent high school graduates and working professionals seeking to advance their careers or transition into new industries.

"SamPoly reflects Sam Houston's commitment to driving economic progress and strengthening the workforce across Texas and beyond," said Chad Hargrave, SHSU's vice president for research and strategic partnerships. "We're focused on broadening the range of certifications over time. By staying connected with industry leaders and monitoring employment trends, we're ensuring our programs evolve to meet emerging needs."

Curriculum for SamPoly has been developed in collaboration with industry leaders, including Forward Edge-AI, Anthem Technology and The Bihm Firm, PLLC, ensuring that students receive training aligned with current market demands.

Additionally, many course credits earned through SamPoly online programs are stackable, meaning they can be applied toward a four-year bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. By following the stackable credentials path, students can plan their education to align with their long-term career and academic goals.

In a move to increase accessibility, SamPoly will operate under an open admissions policy, welcoming a range of students.

Prospective students can now explore program offerings and begin the application process. Get started on your future and register today.
