SHSU Announces Campus Partnership With H-E-B

Sam Houston State University personnel can now receive groceries conveniently on-campus with the simple click of a button.
SHSU and H-E-B have announced a new partnership to provide on-campus grocery delivery to all students, faculty, and staff, beginning Monday. There will be four dedicated delivery zones for added convenience located throughout campus.
“H-E-B has been a long-standing partner of Bearkat Athletics,” said Zach Kaddatz, general manager of corporate partnerships for SHSU athletics. “We are excited to expand our partnership to benefit our students, faculty, and staff with on-campus delivery at Sam Houston. H-E-B is one of the most recognizable brands in the state of Texas, so as we continue to grow this department and university, it only made sense to partner with someone who has strong ties in not just this community, but also this state.”
The four delivery zones include Piney Woods Hall, the Bowers Stadium parking lot, Avenue J and 15th Street and Avenue M and 17th Street. Each location is clearly marked by signs identifying the spot as Zone 1, 2, 3 or 4.
By downloading the My H-E-B app or visiting the website, customers can order groceries that will be handpicked by personal shoppers and delivered to one of the desired locations at a scheduled time. They will receive a text message from the driver when they leave to drop off the order. Customers can also browse H-E-B’s DigiDeals for exclusive savings on a weekly basis.
“H-E-B has partnered with Bearkat Athletics since 2011 and recruits regularly from SHSU. Through the years, our partnership has grown into one that is a source of pride for both organizations,” said Terry Williams, regional vice president of H-E-B Houston. “It is in this spirit, that we’ve decided to launch on-campus H-E-B Delivery to SHSU students. As a former Bearkat myself, I hope this added perk becomes a widely used convenience for all students.”
