Alumni Association Partners With The Astros For 18th Annual SHSU Night At Minute Maid Park

The Sam Houston State University Alumni Association is partnering with the Houston Astros to bring Bearkats to the ballpark this summer.

The 18th annual SHSU Night at Minute Maid Park is set for Wednesday, June 12, as the Astros host the Milwaukee Brewers. Students, faculty, staff and alumni are encouraged to wear Orange and join the fun, as the reception for Bearkats and their guests starts at 6 p.m. and first pitch at 7:10 p.m.

If you are near Huntsville and don’t want to sweat the drive down to Houston, you can catch a ride to the game with the Alumni Association. Charter Bus tickets are $25 per person and will depart at 4:30 p.m. from the Bowers Stadium parking lot.

There are many options for fans of the first place Astros, and you can reserve your tickets now, including a spot on the charter bus.

“We will have more than 200 Bearkats fans join us, and we encourage anyone who has already bought their ticket to ride with us to the game from Huntsville,” said Charlie Vienne, associate vice president of Alumni Relations. “It is always a fun event for the entire Bearkat family.”

Ticket packages include the following:

$75 per person: Charter Bus, Game ticket, Reception

$50 per person: Game ticket, Reception

$20 per person: Reception only (must have game tickets to attend)
