Students are encouraged to actively participate in professional extracurricular activities. Some of those sponsored by the department include Beef Cattle Show Team, Block and Bridle, Collegiate FFA, Delta Tau Alpha, Horse Judging Team, Livestock Judging Team, Pre-Vet Society, Ranch Horse Team, and Rodeo Club.
